It was six in the morning and your phone persistently kept ringing, trying to wake you up.
In response to the irritating, obnoxious sound, you extended your arm to press "ok."
After a few minutes of staring at the ceiling, you eventually got up and got dressed.
-time skip: to the bus station-
Getting onto the bus, the first thing you noticed was the maroon of a handsome boy's hair;
disregarding that, you scanned around for any empty seats, but the only unoccupied spot was the one next the boy.
You reluctantly walked over and muttered, "Can I sit here?"
The boy looked up irritably and nodded. Thank goodness.
"So, what school do you attend?" you asked, trying to start a conversation.
"You know, you don't have to talk."
"Excuse me, for trying to be nice and not so awkward; like you."
"That didn't seem at all nice."
"Good."
You whipped your ahead away from his direction, your hair hitting his face.
"Stop," the boy looked at you amusingly, "My name's Rin. Matsuoka Rin."
Taking that as a come-back-let's-talk signal, you turned around and smirked.
"What a nice name. My name's (F/N) (L/N)."
"Also, I attend Samezuka Academy. I'm on the swim team. You?"
"You looked really smug when you said swim team. Iwatobi. Volleyball team."
The boy's eyes darkened and he mumbled something before looking away. The bus took a slow stop in front of Iwatobi
and you tapped Rin's shoulder, motioning that you were leaving. You turned towards the exit and walked away.
If anyone were to be watching you two, they'd see Rin's disappointed facial expression just as you left.
-time skip: next day-
You saw the arrogant redhead again on the bus and you immediately headed towards him and plopped down on the seat to his left.
"Well, today's the last day of school... I don't think I'll ever see you again," you smiled sheeply.
"Yeah."
The two of you rode in silence and all too quickly, the bus came to a stop in front of Iwatobi. You turned to Rin again
and you smiled, before walking off slowly. Rin watched your figure leave with a sad expression. Should've talked to her more.
It didn't make sense, you two were practically strangers to each other, but it felt like you knew each other for an eternity.
The day dragged on slowly, and then the last bell finally rung. It was time to leave for the summer. You quickly ran out of school, before all the other students. However, because of the speed you were going at, you obliviously passed a handsome redhead.
He was looking down, and you ran past him.
"Rin!" you heard Gou shout; you stopped and turned around, and sure enough, Rin was right there.
You watched as the siblings talked awkwardly and suddenly, Gou pointed at you.
"Is she who you were looking for?"
Rin's reddened when he saw you standing there in a confused matter.
