It was just another ordinary day.
He stepped out of his office at 12.35 just as always.
He said goodbye to his secretary and left the building.
He walked the 2 blocks to the café he so loved.
He paid for his coffee and salad roll and sat down at his favorite table.
Everything was as it always was.
But today something was different.
There was the screech of tires on asphalt.
The man looked up in annoyance, his peaceful lunch ruined.
The car skidded along the road.
The man stood up to get a better look at the car.
The car slammed on its breaks, stopping opposite the café.
The man widened his eyes in shock and horror.
The passenger window of the car lowered.
The man reached into his jacket.
A black tube was thrust out of the open window.
The man drew a pistol, which he wildly started firing, hitting one unfortunate pedestrian in the arm.
The black tube let out a puff of smoke.
The man dived over the table.
Out of the back tube came a rocket, trailing a speeding inferno.
The man got to his feet and started to run.
The rocket hit the café and detonated. By this time the car was already speeding away from the scene, it's work done.
The ground shook as the explosion ripped through the aging building. Windows shattered and passers-by were knocked off their feet. But no one was killed.
It was then that the second explosion occurred. The primary blast had ruptured a gas main, which had quickly ignited.
5 blocks away, the speeding car felt the secondary explosion. It was so powerful that the rear end of the car was lifted off the ground.
The 3 men in the car smiled to each other. It wouldn't be long now. Everything was happening exactly as projected. It was only a matter of time…
