Darkness and Sorrow

We all have those down days. Maybe those down months, or years. But you'll survive. I promise that things will get light after the darkness takes over. "Darling you'll be okay"

Darkness and sorrow
surround me each day,
I'd rather break through and play.

I remember the long days of school,
when we played away days
and life was full of blue skied bays.

How I wish I could get back to those days,
when I dreamed away nights,
and I could soar to great heights.

I wish life was a game I could play
and that it wasn't filled with darkness and sorrow.
It all makes me feel like my heart is hollow.

Hey guys. This is my first uploaded poem. I wrote this 3 years ago. I thought I'd upload this one as a trial to see how this works. I promise not all of my poems will be depressing, I'm mostly out of my depressive state :D I would highly appreciate if you gave me ideas for new poems. I already have a few but they need a few touches and maybe with other minds I can glue some of them together. Also review and tell me what you think, because you are the only ones to see this.
