HC16- Mags was 16 years old when she won her games, and was the only female victor from 4 for quite some time. She outlived all her friends and family. Finnick's grandmother passed away when he was 3. After Finnick won the games, Mags became his grandmother he never knew, and Finnick was her Grandson she never had. When Mags walked into the fog, she never thought twice. Saving Finnick was all that mattered to her, Finnick made her life worth living. Her last thought was "He will get the letter I left him." After Finnick was given the letter by Haymitch, he cried for hours. Finnick Kept the letter near him for the rest of his life.
When Finnick left for the capitol as part of the starsquad He left a letter for Annie, saying that if he never made it back for have their childs middle name be Mags. Annie did better then that, it was his first.
