Father's Day

Lawrence Crock aka SportsMaster huffed wearily as he trudged into his apartment, tired from his day of criminal action. Once again, he had gone out to have some fun and once again he was stopped by his daughter and her little friends, Young Justice.

Lawrence grabbed a beer from his fridge, opened it, and then slouched in his recliner. He took a swing from the alcoholic beverage; what happened to the easy days?

Suddenly, Lawrence heard the door open and close. Muscle memory kicked in and he was standing, his beer shattering on the ground, as he turned to see who had entered his territory. But there was no one. Silently, beyond confused, he walked over to the door and then he saw it.

A pair of baseball mittens; one was for an adult, and the other, for a kid. For a girl.

Lawrence gently picked up the smaller of the two with bewilderment before his expression softened as memories surfaced. Beautiful memories of a little blonde girl with ocean blue eyes playing catch with her father; a gorgeous woman with brown hair and green eyes videotaping them from the side lines.

"My baby girl is gonna be the greatest baseball player the world's ever seen."

"You'll be great Artemis."

"Thanks daddy! I love you!"

"I love you too," Lawrence whispered brokenly, tears streaming down his face. "I love you so much baby girl."

Across the street, on the top of a building, a girl in green with blonde hair was watching; crying sadly.

"Happy father's day daddy," she whispered.

Totally random on my part but I thought it was kind of broken that Artemis and Sportsmaster don't get along and that they are at arms with each other. I was never one for stories or shows where family is against one another.

Anyways, R&R plz! Sympathy for the Lost Love
