It was Valentines Day the year that Naruto would graduate from the Academy.
Naruto was drooling over of course had all but one girl drooling over name was Hinata was watching Naruto while writing a card for Iruka came in and told all the boys to leave.
When this happened, Hinata sped up the writing. Her card said, "Naruto-kun, I have always loved you. I have always watched you to make sure you were safe. I still do. All I am saying is I love you and hope you will love me back. H.H."
When the boys were out of the room, Iruka told the girls to go put the cards on the boys seat that they made the card for.
Iruka saw every girl go to Sasuke's desk and rolled his eyes. Then he realized that one girl went to Naruto's seat.
After this was done, Iruka told the boys to come in. Sasuke picked up the trash can and when he got to his seat, he swept all the cards into the trash, which left a ton of heartbroken girls.
Naruto wasn't expecting anything so he was surprised when he saw a card on his desk.
He opened it and scanned through the message and stopped at the initials.
He mentally listed every girl in his mind, and fortunately for Hinata, she was the only girl with the initials H.H.
She noticed him looking at her and blushed. He thought, "Yep, it's definitely her."
She thought, "He knows it was me. He probably hates me now for trying to take Sakura from him."
Naruto thought, "Why is it her? She's too beautiful to want to be with me. Wait a second, what am I thinking, I love Sakura. Then again…."
Naruto walked over to her and sat said, "Well Hinata, I always knew someone was watching me, but I thought it was because they were trying to find my weaknesses."
Hinata said, "N-N-Naruto-kun, I'm sorry. Y-you must hate me know."
She then looked down and started to cry.
Naruto put his arm around her and said, "Hinata, I don't hate you, I'm actually thankful. It's nice to know that there is someone who cares about you."
Hinata blushed and leaned against him.
Sasuke thought, "Well, the baka is learning something."
Naruto was thinking about how soft Hinata's beige jacket was. Kiba was in the back of the room seething because KIba thought Hinata was his and Naruto took her from him.
Naruto then realized how much he actually cared for Hinata and when Iruka left the room, Naruto moved his face closer to Hinata's and stopped an inch away from her face.
He thought, "What am I doing?"
He started to move his face back, but before he could, Hinata had put her arms around Naruto's neck and made him close the distance between them.
Long story short, they the kiss, Hinata realized what she did, turned red, and fainted in Naruto's arms.
