A little drabble...just because.
He had shown her how to take the proper stance, the appropriate way to place the arrow against the bow, how her hand should hold the wood and her fingers the string. Now he was standing behind her, showing her how to take aim and running his fingers down the underside of her arm.
The light touch tingled at every inch through the sheer silk of her sleeve.
"Now when you draw back the bow, you want to make sure that hand is positioned onto your jaw."
"My jaw? Like this?" She asked demonstrating the move.
"Just like that," he replied in a soft approving tone.
It was hard to concentrate on his words. He was speaking directly into her ear through a few of her stray curls. His warm breath teased against her neck. When she had asked her husband to teach her to shoot the thing, she really meant for it to be a practical education, but this was turning into something else. At least he was intent on actually teaching.
Once her arms where at just the right angles, he trailed his hand down to her waist and straightened her back into his chest.
"Do you feel that?"
"Yes," she replied semiconscious and breathy to his instructions. Her eyes were closed.
"Good, that's exactly how your posture should feel."
"What?"
"You heard me. What did you think I was talking about?" He held his position.
"Nothing," she answered quickly.
"Now, take aim like I taught you to."
"Okay."
"Concentrate on the target."
His voice was quiet and lulling her again. It's a danger for her to be holding killing instruments. He gave her a teasing peck on her temple and said. "Now release it."
Her eyes were only half open when her fingers let go of the bowstring. The arrow shot across the field and landed inches away from the center of the target.
Everyone applauded. Arthur wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her on the cheek. "You're a natural."
"I think I have a good tutor."
"Perhaps. Guinevere," he said. She caught his smirking face looking down at her.
"Yes Arthur?"
"When we're in my chambers tonight, I want you tell me everything you were just thinking about."
"I won't forget a single detail."
"You better not."
A/N: I'm very proud of this one because it was my first entry ever and it won first place in a Drabble Contest AG_Fics on LJ. :D I hope you liked it.
