This story is based after the Tower of Heaven Arc and before the Fighting Festival Arc, so they are still in the first building. Enjoy~!
Chapter 1: Lora
A young adult of the age of twenty one was making her way back to her chambers. She groaned in pain as she touched a new bruise on her shoulder that started to turn a purplish blue. She had received this bruise for failing yet another training session given by Aiden Clemton, the master of the dark guild Sin's Elite. She was trained not for her own improvement but for Aiden's gain of power. He wanted to be able to be the top guild of Fiore and the only way to achieve this goal would to be through eliminating all competition and be recognized as a guild of high power and strength. Lora had figured out his plan when she was twelve after over hearing Aiden talking to his S-class guild members. No matter how hard she tried to escape this horrid place she was brought back and punished, either she was immediately sent to be drained of her magic power or she was beaten and used as a practice dummy for training guild members.
Dragging her feet against the cold wooden floor she finally made it to her "room" if it could even be called that. It had a worn out mattress within it that had springs popping out the middle, so if she wanted to sleep she would have to stay in one exact spot, any movement on her part would lead to a gash across the back; in the corner sat a nightstand and a lacrima lamp. Well it was better than were she had to sleep before…which was the basement. After closing the door, the floors creaked as she inched her way towards the bed; sighing she was reminded by her stomach that she hadn't eaten all day and her mouth was dry from not having any water after training all those hours. Once she lied on the bed she found a somewhat comfy spot and sighed again. She would soon be out of this place, to see her younger sister and live a happy life in Fiore far away from here. Lora had no knowledge of her sister's whereabouts though she hoped that she was living a life with people that made her happy and made her feel welcome. Lora only wanted the best for her and she wished that even if she wasn't able to see her sister soon, she hoped her sister would remember her and the memories they shared together.
A knock rapped across the frail door causing Lora to let out a weak whimper, hoping that it wasn't Aiden wanting more of her magic power again. The door then began to creak open, and a tall figure stepped in, Lora then let out a sigh of relief once she saw soft orange eyes staring at her with concern. It was Marius, Aiden's son. Lora was so glad that it was him because he was the only one in this guild that was nice to her. Surely, he beat her as well but only because his father ordered him to but he would make sure to hit her softly but make it look as though it had hurt. His long ebony locks were in a low pony tail and his bangs covered his orange eyes a bit, in his hands were a tray holding a plate of food and a tall glass of water. Marius was the only one that actually fed Lora and made sure to treat her wounds for no one else in the guild cared for her or even acknowledged her existence.
"Here you go Lora I know you're hungry so I made sure to sneak you a whole plate this time." Marius said as he placed the tray in Lora's awaiting hands.
"Thank you Marius! I wouldn't be alive if it weren't for you and that heart of gold of yours," Lora told him giving him a full hearted smile as she took a bite of the warm glazed bread, letting out a satisfied moan as the butter melted in her mouth. Marius blushed at her words letting out a chuckle as he rubbed the back of his head. And then he remembered the other reason why he had come here.
"Lora, do you have any injuries?" Marius asked as he began to peer at her body trying to find any significance of a bruise or cut. Lora let out another sigh as she knew he was only doing it to help her and lying to him would only make him even more concerned and anxious. "On my right shoulder and it leads a bit to my back," She replied as she finished off the small loaf of bread and began to eat the mashed potatoes slower than she had with the bread. It was Marius' turn to sigh this time as he lifted his hands from his sides to the wound which Lora had moved her dress sleeve to show him. 'He could at least have been a bit easier on her.' He thought as he let magic excel out of his hands and onto the wound. His father as cruel as he was wouldn't accept any failure or anything to be or become weak. So Lora would be forced to get stronger even if she was on edge of unconsciousness.
Marius moved his hands from Lora's shoulder to inspect his work; it was gone the once bruised spot now returned back to smooth slightly tanned skin. "Thank you Marius." Lora thanked gratefully as she began to rotate her arm to test it out a bit. Grunting, Marius went to leave as he was once again clouded by the thoughts of his father. But before he left he whipped around to look at Lora his peach colored eyes shining with determination.
"Marius?"
"Lora I am going to talk to him about letting you free."
"Lu-Chan, look at what I found in the library." Levy called as she waved a book up and down running towards the blonde celestial spirit mage. Lucy turned around to look at the short bluenette as she took an intake of air. "I found this strange book and I was wondering if you wanted to help me see what it is?" She asked as she stared into Lucy's brown eyes pleadingly. Letting off a genuine smile Lucy nodded her head and sat at a booth in the far back corner of the guild. Once the book was opened a layer of dust clouded the air around them. Coughing Levy waved it away while Lucy began to turn to a page.
'Fairy Tail's Mage History
Chapter 1: Genealogy (First name: A-Z)'
"Hmm, I didn't know that they kept books like this here." Lucy said as she flipped through pages seeing in fine print the names of Alzack's parents, images of them and such. Levy stared in awe at what she saw. Once they got to section E they looked to see Erza's genealogy. It was quite blank only containing a picture of Erza and an explanation of where she came from. But after a few sentences Levy came across a justification of Erza's one living relative.
"Hey, Lu-chan look!" Levy exclaimed forcing Lucy out from her previous gaze of a picture of Erza as a seven year old. Lucy's eyes widened as she took a good look at the information in front of her. Erza in fact had an older sister, though there was no image of her to be seen or where exactly she was now. However it did say that she was last seen years ago at a Dark Guild of the name Sin's Elite.
"This is strange I mean the last I heard of Erza's story was that she was a slave in the Tower of Heaven." Lucy inquired as she expected the information in front of her. "Maybe Erza didn't know I mean if she was there than she probably came out of contact with her," Levy continued.
"Hey what's happening to the text?" Levy gasped as the text began to conceal its self along with each image on the page. Footsteps could be heard as the two girls turned around to see the great Titania staring down at them.
"What are you two staring at?" Erza wondered as she quirked an eye brow at them, voice firm yet peeked with curious. Levy and Lucy stared at each other and then back to Erza.
"Well?"
"I had found a book in the library and it contained Genealogy of each mage in Fairy Tail." Levy explained lifting up the book to give to Erza. "Lucy and I had found a page containing yours and when we went to further understand your history the words began to vanish; most likely from some kind of concealment spell." Erza nodded opening her mouth to speak.
"Did you find anything interesting at all?" Erza pressed, she never really remembered much of her past life out of the Tower of Heaven, and so this was an opportunity for her to see what her past life was like before then. Lucy decided it was her turn to speak; seeing as Levy had asked Erza for the book to investigate how to dispel the spell. "The book said that you had an older sister, yet before we could find out what her name was the spell made the words vanish. We were able to find out that she was found years ago in a dark guild named Sin's Elite."
Erza closed her eyes in thought as she began scraping her mind of any background knowledge of Sin's Elite. Sadly, it didn't register to anything in her memory so she sighed. As if knowing what Erza was thinking Levy came up with an idea. "How about you and Lucy go to Master about it maybe he will know something about that guild."
"Will do, come on Lucy." Erza told as she gave a curt nod towards Levy and sauntered off up to the Master who was residing at the bar making conversation with Macao and Wakaba. Staring up from his wooden cup of spirits he saw the re-quip mage staring down at him with a face that meant business, while Lucy was behind her twiddling her thumbs anxiously. She was hoping that Makarov had some information to tell them about Erza's sister since that would reunite them and hopefully make Erza more open than she is now.
"Master I have a question I need to ask you…" Erza announced as she looked at Macao and Wakaba who went to a booth far away from the three. "Go ahead." Makarov acknowledged as he set down his drink his attention fully on her.
"I need you to tell me everything you know about a guild named Sin's Elite."
"Father, I wish to speak with you." Marius said firmly as he made his way over to his father's desk.
"I am busy. So why don't you make sure that 'thing' is asleep," Aiden mumbled as he scrunched his nose at the thought of the failure. Lora in his eyes was just a tool to getting him the power he thought he deserved. He had gone through many assassinations through guild masters of dark guilds that tried to make their way into power like him. Manipulated so many people into doing his bidding and finally with this girl he can achieve his goal.
"HER NAME IS LORA AND SHE IS NOT A THING! SHE IS A MAGE AND A VERY SKILLED ONE AT THAT!" Marius seethed as he slammed his hands on the desk resulting in a pile of assassination requests scattering to the floor. "You will watch your tone with me!" Aiden demanded as his voice boomed causing Marius to flinch but he kept his ground. Aiden's gray eyes flashed a bit as veins pulsed on his bare neck, adjusting his black trench coat he stared into his son's orange eyes.
"Father, I want you to let Lora be free," Marius stated as he sat in a chair in front of his father's desk.
Aiden's face twisted up and suddenly he began laughing. Just the sound of it made Marius' blood curdle in disgust. It sounded so fake and sadistic, as though Marius' words were so funny. "I mean it father, she should be let free. She has been here for thirteen years!" Marius tried to reason but only fueled on to Aiden's hysterical laughter. "Why do you care so much about the girl? Oh have you fallen for her?" Aiden questioned, mocking the young man. Marius couldn't help but blush a little at his words for he had fallen for the mage. After spending those thirteen years with her and having her finally break out of her anti-social demeanor around him and him alone she was able to win his heart.
"That is none of your concern. And stop changing the subject she deserves to leave this place and you know it."
"No."
"W…what?" Marius stuttered his orange eyes widened as he tried to register the words his father said to him.
"She will not leave here. We need more of her manipulation magic capability in order to successfully carry through my plan." He explained as he picked up a piece of paper. "Well if you won't let her go then let me train her from now on." Marius proposed as he began picking up the papers he had caused to fall. There was a silence that rang in the room making Marius' blood run cold.
"Fine, but you will carry out the training by my orders."
Nodding Marius placed the now neat pile of requests on his father's desk and ran out the room to tell Lora.
Okay that is all for now. I hope you liked this chapter revision because I had put a lot of effort into it. Please Review or PM me what you think about it as well as asking any questions on anything you were confused about in this chapter. I know the Guild name is a bit cliché but hey that's better than what I had come up with before(Forsaken Scars was one of them…).Sadly I was not able to do as I was promised but I will be able to hopefully revise and place up chapters two through four by this Friday or Saturday. I look forward to entertaining you guys and hearing what you think~!
Bye~!
