DISCLAIMER: Not mine. Just having a little fun with them.

SUMMARY: I had (the muse left me no choice) to rewrite the scene in Power Rangers the Movie when the team's skydiving. This is what struck my mind.

A/N: The muse stuck me with this on my way to work last night and it just wouldn't go away until I wrote it.

"Let's break!" Tommy shouted. The team split, continuing their skydive toward Angel Grove Park.

At the designated time, each of them pulled their cords to release chutes. Tommy was the last to pull his cord in order to make sure that all of the others deployed all right.

Tommy watched and counted as four chutes deployed; blue, black, yellow, and red. 'Come on, Kim. Deploy.'

Kim was startled when her chute didn't pop when she pulled her cord. She pulled the reserve cord. Still nothing.

'Oh God! My chute didn't open!' "Tommy!" Even knowing that he couldn't hear her, she screamed for him. All she could do is pray as she plummeted toward the ground.

Billy looked around, seeing that his chute and three others had deployed right on time. But he didn't see a pink chute. Looking up, he saw his friend dropping toward him way too fast. He noticed she had spread her arms and legs, trying to add some resistance to the fall. He also noticed that Tommy had tightened up and was power diving toward her.

'Hang on, Kim!' Tommy shot through the air toward the Pink Ranger. He was getting closer and closer.

He caught her arm, lost it for a moment, and then caught her again. He pulled her in tight to him and hugged her tight for a brief moment. She managed to get her arms around his neck just before he pulled his cord, popping his chute. She almost lost her grip but not quite.

"Just hold on!" he told her. She nodded and held on tight as he steered them to the target.

Tommy and Kim landed safely only to be mobbed by their friends wanting to know what had happened.

At first, Tommy couldn't get Kim to let go of his neck. Billy managed to get Kim's hands unclenched as Rocky and Adam pulled her back from Tommy and pulled off her pack. Then, they sat her down on a bench as Tommy pulled off his pack and knelt down in front of her. "Hey, beautiful, you gonna be alright?"

The sheer terror in her eyes was something he didn't ever want to see again. "Kim? Come on, Kim?"

She blinked and shuddered once. Then collapsed back against the table behind her. "Oh God! My chute –"

"It's okay. We're safe." Tommy pulled her down into his lap, tucking her into his shoulder. He was stroking her hair trying to calm her down as their friends pressed close to help reassure Kim that she was safe and they would all work to keep things that way.
