Justine was looking at the pictures of her brother. Olivia saw tears pool in Justine's eyes.
"Sweetie," Olivia said gently.
"It's my fault," Justine said.
Olivia gently put her hand on Justine's shoulder.
"What is your fault," she asked.
"It's my fault Jordan died," Justine said, "I should have saved him. I should have protected him like how he protected me."
"Hold on a minute Justine," Olivia said very seriously, "First of all it was not your fault what happened to your brother. Secondly where is your "never say die" attitude."
"Oh come on," Justine said, "A thunderstorm is not a sunny day."
"And this is not the young lady that I know. The young lady would never give up."
"MOM IT'S BEEN THREE WEEKS," Justine said.
"No news is good news. The longer he's missing the better chance there is of finding him," Olivia said.
"I should have saved him," Justine said.
"There's no way you would have been able to reach him," Olivia replied, "It is not your fault at all."
"I miss him so much," Justine said.
"I miss him too," Olivia replied gently, "But your brother loves you. And he protected you because he wanted to. Also do you remember what you said to me and your dad once?"
"Come on mom," Justine said, "You got to give me a little more to go on then that"
"You said, 'we're Lockhearts; we don't quit."
Justine smiled.
"You're right mom," she said, "We are Lockhearts and we don't quit."
"Same goes for you," Olivia said laughing as she walked out
