They were in the classic relaxing position- Billy back down on Teddy's stomach, staring at his ceiling.
"What are you thinking about?" Teddy could ask things like that now that Billy was his boyfriend (god he loved calling him that).
"Eli and Nate."
Teddy flipped him over and looked him in the eyes. "It's customary while using someone as a lilo to think of said person."
"Oh, I was thinking of you in relation to them."
"Ooh, who came out on top?"
"Not like that (and, you, duh)- I think we should tell them about us."
Teddy sat up as much as was possible with 13 stone of Billy on him. "We're an us now?"
Billy's brow furrowed. "We're not an us now?"
"No. I mean, yes. I mean I want us to be an us, I didn't know if you…Us is good. We're good." He leaned in to kiss him. "You're good."
It was probably a bit much to actually walk into the next YA meeting holding hands, but it got around the problem of having to articulate the us-ness of them.
Nate looked up from a map, "Hi guys," and then went back to it.
Eli looked briefly at their coupled hands and then went back to sharpening his shuriken.
The boyfriends looked at each other. Teddy was elected the speaker. "Uhh, guys…"
"No, we noticed; we just don't care."
Eli experimentally threw the star at a wall. "Yeah, no offence but it's not that surprising." He turned to look at them as he yanked the missile back out. "Neither of you is very good at hiding it."
Nate nodded. "You've been depressingly coy towards each other."
"And the stuttering," added Eli, "Your wedding speeches are gonna take forever."
Teddy took a breath to speak, but then thought better of it. Nate and Eli went back to what they were doing, and Billy turned to him. "So…what are you thinking about, boyfriend?"
