Babysitting

"Shikamaru, come here!" Asuma called to his student.

"What?" Shika asked lazily.

"I need you to babysit. Here." Asuma said, placing his 3 month son in Shika's hands. Shikamaru's eyes went wide. "But sensei, I have to go on a mission to-"

SLAM! Asuma was gone.

"-find…Sasuke…" Shika sighed. There was only one thing to do.

Carrying the baby carfully, the boy headed over to his girlfriend Temari's house.

"Here." Shikamaru said when Temari answered the door, shoving the baby in her hands. "It's Asuma's kid. See ya later."

And he was gone.

Temari looked at the baby in disbelief. Some boyfriend. Then she remembered…crap. She was supposed to go back to the sand village to meet up with the Kazekage's black ops. Only one thing to do…

"Gaara! Come here!" Temari called, shutting the front door behind her with her foot.

"What?" The red-head asked annoyed as he appeared out of the kitchen.

"Babysit. It's Asuma's kid. Don't kill it."

And Temari was gone.

Gaara looked the baby over before carfully picking it up by the back collar of his shirt. The child giggled and squired in Gaara's grasp.

Gaara made a discusted face. "Ew!"

Only one thing to do…

"Kankuro! Get your butt out here!" The short boy yelled.

"WHAT?" Kankuro asked after racing down the stairs.

"Babysit. Asuma's son. Don't kill it."

And Gaara was gone.

Kankuro looked at the baby, who had currently fallen asleep.

"I don't wanna babysit!" Kankuro thought.

Only one thing to do…

A few hours later:

Asuma walked into his house with an arm load of groceries. After putting them away, he called out, "Shikamaru?"

No one answered.

At this he began to worry.

The man stepped out of his house and down to Main Street. When he spotted a mass of silver hair, he raced toward it.

"Kakashi! Kakashi! Do you know where Shikamaru is?" Asuma aked.

The other man didn't look up from his book. "On a mission to find the Uchiha kid."

"What did he do with my son?"

"Hmm…I think he took it over to that kid Gaara's house but I'm not…" He looked up. Asuma was gone. The man shrugged and went back to reading.

Asuma raced toward Gaara's house. He knew what Gaara was like, and was just about to scream he was so freaked out.

He banged on the door until Gaara answered it.

"What the hell do you—oh, I'm sorry, dude. What do you need?" Gaara said.

"My son! My baby boy, have you seen him?" Asuma asked franticly.

"Hmm…Around 3 months old, drools a lot, and smells really bad?"

"Yeah!"

"Never seen him." Gaara started to shut the door.

"Please! I'm begging you! His mother will kill me!" Asuma cried.

"Fine, fine. The really smart guy gave the thing to my sister Temari. Then she gave it to me." Gaara explained dully.

"Then what did you do with my son?" He cried.

"I gave it to my brother. Here, hold on. KANKURO! GET YOUR BUT DOWN HERE!" Gaara screamed.

The older boy raced down the stairs and skidded to a halt right in front of Gaara. "I swear to God, you little runt. I outta…sensei! What's up?" Kankuro said, changing his attitude instantly.

"What did you do with my freaking baby?" Asuma screamed.

Kankuro blinked a few time. "What baby?"

Meanwhile:

A small, 3 month old by was in the middle of a dense forest, curled up and fast asleep in a giant puppet's lap.

END!

A/N: Me and HPfreak94 came up with this while I was over at her house today. It wasn't nearly this long, but I added more details. Enjoy!
