Title: Short Slytherin's Tale
Author: Satahe Shetani (Shet)
Disclaimer: I DO NOT own J.K.R. characters!
At first, sorry for all my mistakes I've made. Even in this notice.
Once upon a time there was a Prince. Half-Blood Prince. His name was Severus Snape.
The boy was very intelligent, smart and ambitious. But he wasn't handsome. He had greasy hair, each other called him 'Snivellus'. As you can guess, he wasn't famous. There were only few people who liked him. But almost nobody.
"Snivel!" James Potter was Severus' worst nightmare. He and his friends called Marauders. "Hey, Snivel, where are you going?"
"He is deaf, Prongs!" Sirius smiled smoothly. "Ya know, but I don't get why Evans talk to him."
"Let's ask her!" James showed his white teeth. "Evans! Why you don't want me? What you see in Snivel that I haven't got?"
"He is smart, Potter, and you are not" Lily replied. "Leave us alone." She took Severus' hand. "Come on, Sev, don't care about them."
Padfoot laughed aloud. Prongs shook his head, and rolled eyes. Remus approached to them and crossed his arms.
"Again the same, eh, Prongs?" he asked.
"She doesn't see my glory" James replied. Looking at Sirius' smile, he murmured "I'm better than Snivellus."
"Oh, yeah, and you are modest, too" Remus said.
"Moony, be optimistic!" Padfoot smirked. "I've got an idea. After that, Lily will be yours."
James was interested in his friend's plan. He fell in love with Lily first time when they met themselves. He was angry about Severus who was always with Evans. He knew that Snivel was only a friend, but Prongs was jealous. He envied the time which Sev spent with Lily. This was James' time. He should be her friend. She was Gryffindor!
"Hey, Prongs, are you listening?" Sirius giggled, looking at friend's misted sight. "I was telling about my plan. Okay, listen…"
His whisper was exited. But James could think only about certain Gryffindor who has red hair and green eyes.
"Lily, I'm exhausted" Severus said when they were going upstairs.
"I'm exhausted, too" she murmured. Sighed. "Remind me this afternoon if I'll want go to library and borrow some books."
They were in library and Mrs. Pince helped them. They searched for books about animagus' transfiguration. McGonagall gave them this homework. And Snape always wanted to become animagus.
"I don't believe, McGonagall should go to St. Mungo! Ten feet! Do you get it?" Lily cried.
"Unfortunately, yes, I do. I start regret that I'm so clever" he murmured.
"How modest" her voice was full of sarcasm.
"How naughty" Severus replied.
"Don't be ironic. Please, Sev, I'm tired, I want to go asleep."
He stopped sarcastic comment for himself which was on the end of his tongue.
Severus was Lily's best friend, he always was with her. In troubles, in happiness, sadness. All the time. But he saw that Evans could only order him. Nothing more. She wanted a dog, servant who'll serve her. She had only wishes and needs, no feelings to friends. Even to Sev.
He did all if it could make her happier.
But what did he get in return?
Nothing.
Cold nothing.
Slytherin left her in front of the Fat Lady' portrait.
"Coeur d'or." Portrait opened up and let her get in. "Good night, Sev."
"Have the worst nightmares" he murmured under his breath.
Severus Snape left Lily Evans. He didn't want to be used. He couldn't be her friend if she just placed the matter. No! – only this word was good to say in the situation.
This was the end.
The end of their friendship.
If you want a dog on a leash, let take Potter – he thought. – I don't want to be your servant or slave.
Next day he called her mudblood.
Short, with a lot of mistakes. Sorry, really. I wanted to write it many years ago - how Severus felt when Lily used him. He gave her homeworks etc. but what did he get in return?
Yeah, I don't like Lily.
