This is possibly the most random thing I have ever written, and I'm really really tired. This has literally not been edited at all, since I have to get up at 4:30 to catch a plane and I should be sleeping, dammit! So...yeah. Assuming Gruvia becomes canon after this current arc here.
Grey had a problem. Named Juvia. And unlike what you would expect, the problem was not that she loved him, but that he loved her. A fact he might as well have outright admitted when he kissed her, after she snapped him out of his demonic tattoo-induced rage. And now she seemed to believe they were... what do you call it? Ah. An item. Which, they sort of were. But after everything he had done to Fairy Tail, even while possessed, he didn't understand how she could still be so convinced in her love. And he certainly didn't feel justified in his.
Expressing this thought around Crime Sorciere(who had happened to be there during the fight with Avatar, and by association Grey) may have not been the best idea from his current observations, however. It went something like this...
Grey had been talking with the independent guild, who were at the moment hanging out near Magnolia, just in case any missed Avatar members surfaced. And not so that Jellal could visit Erza and Cobra could visit Kinana. *cue simultaneously laughing Angel, Happy, Mirajane, and Meredy*
"So, how's Juvia been doing?" asked Meredy, with an implying look in her eyes.
"Meredy."
"You KISSED her. Multiple times. Since the incident. Honestly, men are so stupid sometimes. Shut up, Cobra."
"I don't get it. I tried to kill her, and she doesn't care." Grey told her bitterly. It was true. He had nearly killed the Water mage. Twice. And several other people, but Juvia weighed the heaviest. He was expecting Meredy to shake her head. What he was not expecting her to do was scream violently and flail her arms with great pointlessness.
"CODE EIGHT CODE EIGHT! HE'S DEVELOPED THE SICKNESS!"
He was also not expecting the rest of Crime Sorciere(except Jellal), including the generally composed members such as Midnight, to also scream violently and run to hide behind trees.
"Um...what sickness, exactly?"
"JELLAL SYNDROMEEEEEE!" This set off another round of shrieking that must have been heard at Era.
A sound much like a palm slapping a forehead was heard from Jellal's general area. Grey was still greatly confused. Meredy, seeing this, calmed down enough to explain.
"It's when a victim has been possessed and unwillingly hurt their main love interest, BUT NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS STILL BLAME THEMSELVES! AND TRY TO*indicated shudders* ATONE!" Oh. Oh lord. Was this what Jellal endured every day? Grey was surprised he wasn't as axe-crazy as his possessed self.
"Quick! We must administer! He's still in the first stages of the disease, so we may be able to save him. But we have to work quickly. Someone get that Juvia body pillow! Angel!"
"HOW DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT!? And why..." he managed out, in a more controlled voice, "no, HOW do you have a key to my apartment!"
"...Mirajane knows all."
And that is how Magnolia witnessed a cackling pink-haired girl and a hysterical white-haired woman being chased around by a furious Devil Slayer holding a Juvia body-pillow(with said mage hanging on his arm) and a pair of horribly blushing totally-not lovebirds with swords.
Happy hoped to whatever higher power there was Grey never found out exactly who had told Meredy about the body pillow.
This was longer in my head. I'm going to Mexico and won't have wifi, so I expect many reviews when I return.
