The Change
A/N This Fan Fic takes place right after Jace and Clary kiss in the gardens, I really hope you enjoy this and don't hate me for changing what happened in the book, I mean after all it is a fan fiction.
Jace and Clary pull apart, Hugo sits there watching them with that evil gleam in his eyes.
"It looks like we have company." Jace says. They both start laughing and move down the stairs. "Are you going to sleep?" Jace asks Clary as they walk to Jace's room.
"I don't know are you going to sleep?" Clary asks Jace with a sweet voice.
"Not quite yet, I don't think." Jace says leaning down to kiss Clary on the mouth, it's a quick kiss, not a hungry demanding kiss but a quick sweet kiss. He opens the door to his room and leads Clary inside. "So," He says pulling her on to the bed beside him where he sat down. "What do you say we do?"
"I don't know." Clary says with a yawn. She lays her head on Jace's shoulder and closes her eyes.
"Are you tired?" Clary nods her head still on his shoulder, "Do you want to go to sleep?"
"Yes, but can I sleep in here?" She asks him in a child like voice.
"Of course, come on sleepy head, lets get you tucked away into bed." He moves her head off his shoulder and stands up, he walks to his dresser and gets out a longsleeved shirt and hands it to Clary, he then gets out a pair of pajama pants for himself. "I'll go and change in the bathroom." He says to her and walks across the room to the adjoined bathroom.
Minutes later both of them changed Jace is tucking Clary into bed when she grabs his hand, "Lay down with me, I don't want to have a bad dream." She says as if she were a child.
"Of course." He says to her and crawls into bed next to her after turning out the light, he puts his arm across her and holds her. Clary fits perfectly there like a piece of a puzzle, Jace smiles to himself and lays there with Clary until they both fall asleep.
