Note: My first fanfic! Hopefully you like this story and please review so I know what I could improve on. I just decided to write this story out of the blue so let me know if it's good or not! Here goes nothing!

Chapter 1: Innocent Question
"Mom, how did you and Dad fall in love?" Akiyo glanced at his mother.
Kagome looked up startled, "Why do you ask that sweetheart?"
"Well, you and Dad are always so lovey dovey all the time so I wanted to know." The seventeen year old silver tousled-haired young teen with furry triangles twitching around curiously atop his head responded. "It must have been love at first sight seeing how Dad moons over you all the time."
"Not exactly," Kagome answered quietly.
"Then how did you two fall in love?" Akiyo persisted.
Kagome looked down at her hands and sighed. "Why don't we go sit on the couch in the living room? If you're really that curious, I'll tell you. I won't guarantee that you'll like it though."
Akiyo got up out of the hard kitchen chair and followed his mother to the adjacent living room area. As she sat down on the couch, Akiyo took the seat next to his forlorn-looking mother and waited for her to begin the story that ended with this present day.
