DM love Is All Around
''Er, how comes we look different?'' Margo asked her parents one evening. Gru pounded for a second. ''Margo'' he said, ''Remember when we first met?''. Margo nodded. She could remember being wary of Gru because of his indifferent attitude. The words ''You're never going to be my dad'' were coming back. ''Well'' Gru began, ''I was planning to steal de moon and be de greatest villain of all''.
Margo nodded. She'd heard quite a lot of her father's plans to steal the moon. ''But then'' Gru said, ''It was when I first saw you, Edith and Agnes delivering cookies, I had an idea to steal a shrink ray from Vector, I thought if you girls delivered robots that looked like cookies, they would steal de shrink ray and bring it to me so that I could shrink de moon''.
'And so therefore you adopted us?'' Margo asked quietly. ''Yes'' Gru said, ''But then I realized I cared more about you girls then my plan my plan to steal de moon, but then Dr Nefario had you girls sent back to Miss Hattie's''. ''So it wasn't you?'' Margo asked. ''No'' Gru nodded, ''But then I had to rescue you from Vector remember?''. Margo did. She'd been grabbed by Vector as she tried to jump.
''Now'' Gru said quickly, ''It's nearly bedtime, We'll finish this upstairs''. Once in bed Margo listened to what else her father had to say. ''Remember when I said I would catch you and I did?''. ''Yes Margo nodded. ''Then'' Gru continued, ''some time later, I meet Lucy and we got married''. Margo hadn't forgotten the wedding. She'd banged a fork against a glass to help Agnes with her poem.
''So'' Lucy said quickly, ''We look different because we come from different birth families, but the most important thing is that we love each other, it's the only way to archive happiness''.
Margo snuggled under her duvet. Lucy was right. It was the only way to archive happiness, if it hadn't been for Gru. She would of remained an orphan and be loved by no one. Love was everywhere in the Gru residence.
