Snow stands up as soon she hears the door open, and she can feel David next to her. She takes a quick glance at him and is satisfied to find he has a glare on his face as well.

"What time do you call this, young lady?" David asks with a raised voice as soon as his daughter walks in. She does a double take, obviously expecting her parents to already be in bed.

The 17 year old rolls her eyes. "11.30pm, Dad, the same as everyone else." She responds sarcastically, earning an even dirtier look off her Father.

Snow steps forward and crosses her arms. "You can lose that attitude right now, Emma. We told you to be back for 10.30. You're an hour late, care to explain why?"

"Killian and I just didn't realise the time," Emma answers truthfully. David growls at the mention of his daughter's 18 year old boyfriend. That boy definitely wasn't his favourite person.

"You were probably too busy making out," A voice calls from behind her. Emma turns quickly and comes face to face with her 14 year old brother, who even though he's a few years her junior, is slightly taller than her.

"Neal, you're supposed to be in bed. Go, right now." Snow orders, throwing a glare in her son's direction.

Emma gives her brother a satisfied smirk. "Yeah, Neal, go to bed."

Now its David's turn to step forward. He places a hand on each of his children's shoulders and looks down at them both through narrowed eyes. "You can go to bed too, Emma. We'll talk about this in the morning. For now, both of you upstairs."

Neal presses a kiss to his Mother's cheek, hugs his Dad and ruffles his sister's hair, much to her annoyance, before retreating back up to his room. David raises an eyebrow in warning when his daughter doesn't move.

"Emma," He warns, and she huffs irritably.

The teenager shifts her gaze to her Mother's, and smiles sweetly. "Mom, please can't I stay up a bit longer? I have a school project." Emma lies, she didn't have a school project but they didn't know that and anyway Skyping to Killian could count as some type of project.

"I know for a fact you don't have any projects, Emma." Snow responds sternly. Emma looks at the floor quickly, maybe they did know, "So, no you can't stay up any later. You're already in trouble. Bed. Now."

Emma groans dropping her handbag on the floor. Why her friends thought her parents were cool she didn't know. Deciding to ignore he parents, she tries to move past them and enter the kitchen for a drink, but she's halted in her tracks when David grabs her and throws her over his shoulder.

"Dad! Put me down!" She practically screeches, hitting him in the back, as he carries her up the stairs. God, he drive her insane. The over-protective jerk.

"Keep the noise down, Emma. Your Brother is in bed." David responds evenly, showing absolutely no reaction to his daughter's protests.

He walks in to her room and gently places her down on the double bed. He smirks as she glares up at him.

"You and Mom are so annoying," She complains, throwing an arm over her eyes.

David chuckles, and leans down to kiss her on the cheek. "We're your parents, we're supposed to annoy you. Now, get some sleep. We'll talk tomorrow. We love you, good night."

He calls back to her as he makes his way out of the room, closing the door behind him. When he reaches the bottom of the stairs he'd greeted by his wife smirking at him.

"Remind me again why we had children?" He asks on a grin, bringing Snow into his arms and kissing her on the head.
