L and Light
L woke up from his nap and started eating a snack. He was wondering how Kira could kill people after only thirty seconds of knowing that person's name, L came to the conclusion that maybe Kira had some sort of object that helped him with the murders. He knew that Kira lived in Tokyo since he fell into his trap, but he still didn't know where he was exactly.
Then he noticed that outside of his window, a small item dropped from the sky. He went outside of his apartment to go and check it out, it turned out that it was a small bottle of green liquid. He looked up but he couldn't pin point where the bottle came from. He thought that someone dropped it form the roof. Then, he went into his apartment to go and check what the bottle was exactly.
He had no Success in finding out what it was, but the curiosity got the better of him, he started drinking the bottle, it tasted like raw meat, but he didn't mind. He didn't feel any different after he drank it so he got on with his day.
About thirty minutes after he drank the liquid. The Chief of the NPA called him and asked him if he could me his son, Light Yagumi. Even though he didn't think it would help with the case on Kira, L thought that he could meet the Chief's son because he could ask him a few questions.
The next day, L slowly walked to the chief's house and knocked on the door, he was thinking about what would happen if Light was attractive. Because L was gay, he didn't know whether he would find Light attractive or not.
The chief's wife opened the door and L came in, it was a nice house. Light's mother told L that Light was upstairs in his room and asked if he would like any refreshments. L politely refused the drink, then he slowly trudged up the stairs, he heard Light mumbling something to himself but he couldn't quite figure out what Light was saying. When he got to the door, he politely knocked, but the door was opened, revealing Light. L determined that Light wasn't his type and happily walked in to the room and sat down on the floor.
"Hello L, nice to meet you." Light said, reaching out a hand to him wondering why L was half way between crouching and sitting.
"Hey, I've heard a lot about you," L proclaimed, shaking Light's hand. "So I have a couple of questions to ask you if you don't mind, first of all, do you know who Kira migh…" L stopped talking, he saw a tall disfigured human next to Light. "WHAT IS THAT?" L shouted, Light slowly started panicking, he realised that L could see Ryuk.
"Don't worry, he won't hurt you." Light explained, L slowly started calming down, but he still had a lot of questions to ask about what the thing that appeared in Light's room was, it looked like a Shinigami, from ancient Japanese lore, but surely it couldn't be one of those, they don't exist…
After Light explained exactly what Ryuk was, L calmed down but started asking questions like how did he come here and what he does. Light had no choice. He had to tell him.
"I'm Kira, Ryuk was the one that gave me the death note, which is what I've been using to kill all of the criminals, I write down someone's full name and they die within thirty seconds. You can arrest me now if you want, but I have one question, how did you manage to see Ryuk, most people don't see him but you do, I don't understand why."
L was really confused, he told Light that he didn't know why he could see Ryuk and that he won't arrest him, which shocked Light, why would someone go through a month's worth of research and traps only to let the serial killer go after he confesses to what he has done and how.
"Well I'll be on my way, it was nice meeting you Light, and you, Ryuk." L said.
