Charlie takes in Draco's appearance with a grin. Draco wears the dress robes like a second skin, completely comfortable and at ease. It's the first time that Charlie has actually seen Draco in anything other than his work clothes or dark wash Muggle jeans and a button down shirt. And Charlie can't help but think that he rather likes Draco in dress robes.

Charlie busies himself with fixing Draco's messy tie. It takes him several moments to get it to his satisfaction. He then meets Draco's steel eyes, a smile still on his face. "If we don't leave now, we'll be late," Charlie whispers.

The Slytherin in front of him frowns. "Do you really think this is a good idea?" he asks. Draco's questioned this several times since Charlie had told him that they would be going to Ginny and Harry's wedding together.

Charlie nods. "Of course. They need to know I'm serious about you," Charlie confirms. He moves to grab the wedding gift from the table by the door, but he pauses when he realizes that Draco isn't following him. He turns back to Draco. "Look, my dragon. I am serious about you but they won't realize it unless it's staring them in the face."

"And you think that proving a point at your sister's wedding is the way to go?" Draco questions.

Silence falls between them as Charlie contemplates his answer. Finally, he speaks, "They assume they know you because they knew who you were during school. They assume you haven't changed. They assume you never will." Charlie pauses again, and pulls Draco toward him, much to Draco's displeasure. "But they don't know you like I do. And sometimes, with them, I have to make a point."

Draco rolls his eyes at the Gryffindor-ness of Charlie's statement, but then a smile cross his face. "That is very Slytherin of you," Draco says with a smirk.

"You're rubbing off on me," Charlie replies, rolling his eyes. He kisses Draco softly, meaningfully, before pulling back, a grin on his face. "We're late," he whispers.

Before Charlie can protest, Draco takes his hand and Apparates. They land outside the church in Godric's Hollow, where Ginny and Harry are to be married. Charlie hunches over, letting the wave of nausea pass. It takes several moments, but he finally stands.

Together, Charlie and Draco enter the church. Ron glares; George stares; Percy's indifferent, but Bill comes up and claps Charlie's shoulder with a grin on his scarred face. "Don't worry about them. They'll come around." He then turns to Draco and offers his hand. "It's nice to actually meet you this time."

"Pleasure," Draco says respectfully.

Charlie ushers Draco into the pew as Harry takes his spot at the altar. Ron stands beside his best friend, disguising his displeasure at Draco's presence. But when his sister walks toward Harry in her white dress, looking more beautiful than ever, he's reminded what this day is really all about – love.

And love conquers all.

A/n – so many thanks to Allie for not only beta-ing this for me, but for letting me bounce ideas off her. You're a rockstar, dear!
