A/N: In the spirit of Halloween, I present you this little drabble...Enjoy:) There's a picture that goes along with this story on my tumblr (probalicious)
"Ziva! Will you slow down, we will have plenty of time, the school is right around the block!"
Ziva banked the corner and expertly parked her SUV. She glared at Tony as she locked the car. That conversation could wait for later, she still resented giving up her Mini for a "nice family sized" vehicle. They would be getting rid of the mustang soon enough.
"Tony, the parade starts at 2:15, it is 2:11 and we still have to help her get ready. Move it!"
Ziva took the steps up to the small school, which housed kindergarten and 1st grade only. Tony followed behind grumbling.
"She will be fine, I sent Abby an hour ago!"
"You did?"
"I wanted you to enjoy the parade and not worry about her the whole time, just get in there and get a spot. I've heard from a reliable source that the corner of the entrance to the gym is the best spot, we get to see them coming in and we get to see them leaving."
Ziva turned, complete with an embarrassed look on her face, she mouthed thank you and reached for his hand.
He locked his fingers with hers and they stepped into the building. Children could be heard throughout the building discussing their costumes, laughter filled the air and soon the PA system filled the speakers.
"Thank you for you patience, our parade of costumes will begin shortly, please stay to the side and refrain from stopping the procession."
Tony and Ziva saw Abby jumping up and down and quickly joined her by the entrance of the building.
"They are both ready, Tim just texted and he's on his way." Abby said quickly "Did you guys get held up?"
"Tony was trying to see how many pieces of candy he could collect in the office so we wouldn't have to buy candy for the trick-or-treaters tonight, or so he says."
Tony smiled and leaned in and kissed her cheek, "Shhhhh, here they come!"
The gym filled with Halloween music as the children began the procession one-by-one into the gym.
"Oh look there's Daniel!" Abby jumped and pointed to the first grade classroom entering. Daniel, her and Tim's son was the line leader and dressed as Leonardo, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
Daniel waved and high fived Tony as he made his way past his mom, aunt and uncle.
"Your dad will be here soon!" Abby shouted as he walked past, whether or not he heard her was uncertain.
"Mommy, Daddy!" A small little figure came barreling toward them, dressed from head to toe in black, with plastic nunchucks at her side. She latched onto both of them with a thump.
"You look wonderful tatelah," Ziva gushed over her Kindergarten daughter; she eyed Mrs. Johnson, and nodded an assurance that Ella would get back in line.
"Daddy, do I look like mommy, like a nimja?"
"Yes you look just like your ninja mommy, you look very stealth." Tony knelt down next to his daughter. "I think Mrs. Johnson wants you to get back in line, do you think you could do that and we will be read to go trick-or-treating after you are done?"
Ella high fived her dad and ran back to the line.
"A ninja huh? I wonder how she got that idea?" Abby smirked and turned back to the line.
Thanks for reading!~
