"I can't take you seriously."
Boris came to a halt, his hand hovering mere inches above the handle of their hotel room door. He tilted his head to the side, looking back over his shoulder towards Yuri. "What?"
"I can't take you seriously." Repeated Yuri. His gaze locked onto Boris' face. It always felt like he could kill someone with his powerful stare. Unnerved, Boris turned back to the door.
"What do you mean?" He prodded, wanting more of an explanation from the redhead. There were times when Yuri's words were a little too vague for him. It felt like the other was having a little too fun teasing him.
"Your voice," he continued, "it sounds a little too much like that cartoon character..."
Boris gripped tightly at the cool metal door handle, and bit down on his lips. "Yeah?"
"After hearing his voice, I just..." Yuri tore his gaze away from Boris. He slowly stared down to the floor, a small frown playing onto his lips. "I keep imagining him talking instead of you." A chuckle.
The tallest of the two didn't check to see the kind of expression Yuri wore. The very thought of it made the pit of his stomach boil. After jamming their card key into the door Boris swiftly pulled it out of its socket. When the small light turned green, he threw the door opened stalking in, not even noticing Yuri having to scramble for the door.
After closing the door behind himself softly, Yuri walked up to Boris. Quietly sighing, he tilted his head. "Boris, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have laughed."
"You're not the first person to tease me about this!" The silver haired teen turned around, wrinkles appeared on his forehead as his brows knitted together. "First Ivan, then Kinomiya! Hell even Kai!" His voice began to raise, little by little. "Do you know how much more humiliating it is to hear that from you?!"
"Boris," Yuri's voice was even, unlike Boris'. "I'm your best friend, if you haven't forgotten." He pulled his face closer. "It's obligatory that I tease you now and then. Come on, stop being so moody. Besides, I lied." He didn't seem to miss a beat while he talked.
For a second, Boris was stumped by Yuri's sudden close proximity. He couldn't look away from the pair of lavender eyes that managed to capture his line of vision. "L-lied...?"
"Yes," Smiled the redhead, tilting his head slightly to the side. It gave him a bit of an innocent edge, which was just an act. "Whenever I hear that silly robot cat's voice, I think of you."
"I-I don't think that's any better, Yuri..."
"Hn, I thought it was."
Thanks to Boris, I can't take episode 49 seriously.
