This is just a quick drabble, you guys. So excuse me if you don't understand any of my metaphors. It's very metaphoric and comparative, so don't worry if you didn't understand. I am a little comparative when it comes to defending what I like and dislike and everything in between.

~Enjoy!

"What are your favorite colors, Touko?" asked my boyfriend's cousin, Leaf. My good friend was visiting my new single-person A.p.t. and was sitting at my couch while I tidied up the living room.

"Black, white, and purple," I said. "Why are you asking me this?"

"Just curious. But I thought your favorite colors were black, white and pink. Why purple?" she asked.

"Because if I said pink was my favorite color, it would go against my principles and ideals," I replied. Does she not understand my theory on being even on my likes and dislikes with everything in between?

"How come?" she questioned further. I often ponder why we are such good friends.

"Because I want to even out complementary colors. I like pink, yes, but not as it applies to the color on its own.

I mean, how many times do you see pink on a rainbow?" I asked. She nodded as if realizing my point, but not quite so clearly.

"None. Zero. Not even once does a person see pink on a rainbow, nor does an art teacher say pink has an opposite color to complement it. So if white has black, purple has yellow, which means there is a three-way-excludition agreement on my likes and dislikes, with whatever is in between. And since pink does not have a color to complement it perfectly, like black and white, I cannot have a three-way-excludition agreement on my likes, which means I don't like them at all."

She simply nodded, but I could tell she got all scrambled. I sighed. "Let me put it simple for you, if pink were one of my favorite colors in a trio, then the other two should be aquamarine and brown."

The End

So I hope you liked my little drabble and my point so no one ever asks me why I don't put pink in the favorites section. And just to point out, those are my favorite colors and so is the thought/theory on pink. But please do not feel offended if you do think pink has a complementary color. This is entirely my opinion, and it's not meant to be understood by everyone. Plus, the "three-way-excludition agreement" was entirely made up by me so I could give my point to show, so don't try googling it to understand.

Hope you enjoyed!
