Disclaimer: I don't own um ... I just play with them.

It's Sunday night ... I'm stressed out ... work tomorrow ... so once again I'm on a writing binge! This is very, very short ... a very quick read.

Inspired by "We have Complementary skills." -- Bobby Goren

Not What You Think

Bobby was on his back while Alex played with the smattering of brownish grayish hair on his chest. He traced her left arm with his finger from wrist to shoulder over and over again. Her chin lay in rest on his shoulder as she stole glances at his strong features. He would glance down and smile from time to time, readjusting his feet or arching his back to get himself a little more comfortable. Alex was very content the way she was, she waited a long time to get Goren in this position. They would steel a kiss here, a tighter grip on each other there, an occasional change of position … he wasn't used to lying on his back for too long but how was she suppose to know that.

They drank champagne and Alex laughed when the bubbles tickled her nose. He smiled when her nosed crinkled every time she took a sip. She smiled when Bobby got a little tipsy from the bubbly beverage.

They barely spoke to one another, only with the twinkle in their eyes, the love in their hearts and the touch of their gentle hands on each others body. They didn't need to talk, they could read each other, they could practically read each others mind. His special crooked grin that was meant just for her. Her innocent smile that had gone away so many years ago, came back when she fell in love with him. The way his eyes would shift just so. The way her breath would hitch in response. The way they touched each other meant one thing or another, the way they looked at each other meant one thing or another.

More champagne, more looks, more touching, more laughing, more love making and finally talking … whispering …

"I'm glad we waited."

"For eight years?"

"No, for our Wedding Night."

"What if we weren't compatible."

"We have complementary skills, Eames."

"Don't you mean, Goren?"

"Maybe I should just start calling you Alex … Mrs. Goren."

Fin.
