Summary: Carly and Freddie have their first talk about their relationship after they broke up and he saved her life. Disclaimer: I do not own iCarly or any of it's characters.

It was a Saturday afternoon and Carly, Sam, and Freddie had just finished filming iCarly. Sam went home after figuring out there wasn't any good food in their fridge, while Carly and Freddie were still in the iCarly studio, talking and laughing.

"Ok, you have to see this video," Freddie laughed. "It's hilarious!"

He showed her a video of some guy sticking chopsticks all the way up his nose, and then pulling them back out.

"Eww!" Carly exclaimed while laughing.

"It's awesome right?"

"Yeah!" Carly said and walked over to him by his laptop. Her smile disappeared slightly. "I miss this," she said.

"Miss what?" Freddie asked closing his laptop.

"You and I, hanging out," she said looking down at the floor.

"We always hang out."

Carly sighed. "Yeah, with Sam, Spencer, Gibby or someone else. Not just you and me anymore."

"That's because things are," Freddie was saying while Carly interrupted him, "Different."

Freddie walked over to the car in the studio and sat on it. "Nothing's different. We're the same as we were before."

"No we aren't, and you know it." Carly walked over to the car as well. "It's different between us now. You don't flirt with me like you used to, or bug me about dating you."

"So? I thought you didn't want that," Freddie said.

"I never said I didn't," Carly said while choking back tears. She walked over to the window and stared out it, seeing some man getting his ice cream cone knocked out of his hand. She stopped watching the man and turned back to Freddie. "I didn't just like you because you saved my life. I started developing feelings before that."

The room was silent. Carly held her hands together nervously and asked, "Remember the girl's choice dance? Remember when we shared that dance at the Groovy Smoothie after our dates left?"

Freddie nodded. Carly smiled slightly and continued. "Well, I really liked it. It felt…right. I felt feelings that I had never felt for you before."

Freddie looked down at the ground and mumbled, "Really?"

Carly walked back over to him and said, "Yes. After that, I felt those feelings for you every day. But I didn't want to tell you."

"Why not?" Freddie asked with more confidence.

She shrugged. "I guess I was just afraid of what Sam and Spencer would think."

"That shouldn't hold you back," he said.

"I know," she said with a light sob. Freddie put his arm around her and rubbed her back. She smiled and leaned her head on his shoulder. They stayed like that for a while, in silence. It was not an uncomfortable silence, but pleasant. No words were needed.

After a couple minutes, Carly finally spoke. "When you saved my life, I realized I just couldn't keep that secret anymore. Because what if I didn't tell you, and something else happened to one of us where we didn't survive?"

"Carly."

"It could happen!" She cried. "It almost did! I almost lost you without letting you know what I really feel about you."

Carly leaned against him and sobbed. Freddie whispered in her ear, "It's not too late."

Carly rose her head up and stared into his eyes. He leaned toward her and kissed her. She kissed back gently. She wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled into the kiss. He wrapped his arms around her waist. They broke apart and stared into each other's eyes.

"Are you ready to have a girlfriend yet?" Carly asked him.

Freddie smiled and said, "Only if you'll have me."

She smiled back and said, "Of course."
