SoftWare: Put your hands together!

Link: For...?

SoftWare: (Glances at him) Really? I thought we'd discussed this.

Link: What do you-? Oh, right.

Saria: Can I do it?

SoftWare: Do what?

Saria: The Disclaimer?

SoftWare: No, you did it last time. I'm leaving it to a certain person who is sneaking up on me.

Aryll: Hey! I'm trying to get up here, and you say sneaking!

SoftWare: Then what were you doing?

Aryll: Sneaking!

Link: (Sighs) I got it. SoftWare does not own The Legend of Zelda.

Chapter One

Curiosity

(Cutlass, en route to Outset Island)

Link sat in the crow's nest of the ship, looking out for any signs of trouble. He wanted to get home without any trouble.

He saw no other ships or boulders, but he did see an island nearby. "Land ho!" The entire crew, including Tetra, looked

at what Link had seen. Tetra became curious. Facing her crew, she said, "Link and I will check it out. You all mind the

ship." At their salute, Tetra and Link were off. The two had grown close over the last two years, and often ate together.

As they arrived at the island, Link set a post to tie the boat to so that they didn't lose it. They walked further in, and

saw what looked like an old temple. Curious, they went in. Inside, they saw a pedestal, with musical notes inscribed

into it. Tetra looked up, and they saw a painting of a girl in green, with an ocarina, one of the ancient Hylian musical

instruments, in her hand. Looking closer, they could see writing under it. Link could read it with no problem. "Saria,

Sage of Forest. This is her prison, and must never be disturbed." Facing Tetra, he asked, "Why would she be

imprisoned?" Tetra faced him. "You know this Saria?" Link sighed. "Not personally, but I know of her. She was one of

the Six Sages who fought alongside the Hero of Time." That sparked Tetra's interest. She looked up, and noticed

something else. Link noticed it too, and read it. "'She is guilty of crimes against the Dark Lord Ganondorf.' Seriously? He

was evil!" Tetra faced him. "Should we 'disturb' the prison?" Link thought it over. "I don't see why not." He rummaged

around, and found an ocarina laying nearby. He put it to his lips and tested it. Then, he looked at the musical notes,

and began to play them. The melody caused Tetra to smile, and she stood there, lost in thought. She didn't regain her

focus until Link called her name. She faced him. "How long was I-?" Link sighed. "About five minutes." She mentally

slapped herself. "Right, not doing that again." Suddenly, a loud rumble was heard. They looked up, and saw what

looked like a coffin being lowered to them. Link approached it as it came down, then he noticed some notes on the lid.

He played them, and the lid slid off. There lay Saria, Sage of Forest, in what looked like a deep sleep. Link checked her

vitals, and faced Tetra. "Based on what I'm feeling, she'll be awake in a few hours." Tetra nodded. "Let's get her back to

the ship." They picked her up, and brought her to the boat, away from the place that had been a prison for her, and to

a new life.
