Stars
And it's the stars
The stars
That shine for you
And it's the stars
The stars
That lie to you... Yeah-ah-Stone Sour, Through Glass
"What are you looking at?" Jacob asks, staring down at Leah, who is lying on her roof.
"The stars," Leah says. She has a soft smile on her face, not for Jacob, but for the sky.
"They're nice," he lies down next to Leah, resting his head on his arms.
"What are you doing here?" Leah asks, her voice only slightly accusing.
"I wanted to see you," Jacob whispers as he turns onto his side to see Leah.
"You see me every day," Leah says, making a face.
"I wanted to see you without the entire pack there," Jacob replies.
"I'm not even going to ask," Leah mumbles. Then she changes the subject. "Looking at all the stars sort of makes you feel kind of small, doesn't it? Some times I wonder what's out there, if there's anything out there for me."
Jacob grins. "Maybe you should try looking closer," he suggests. "Like right next to you."
"Oh," Leah mumbles, picking up on what Jacob is saying instantly. "I…I don't know. What if you imprint? Then what?"
"I'll find a way to fight off the imprint."
Leah doesn't question if it's possible, just stares at Jacob for a minute, wondering. Jacob sighs quietly, and then kisses her, his mouth moving passionately with hers. He gently presses her into the cool, black roof.
"You'll wake Seth and my mom," Leah mumbles.
"Mmm?"
"Seth…and my mom…the roof probably isn't the best place to do this."
Jacob rolls off of Leah, one hand still touching her arm. "You're right," he says. "Follow me." He climbs down the side of the house, landing gracefully on the ground.
Leah follows him, wondering where they are going.
Jacob tales her hand and leads her into the woods, until they come to a small clearing shaped almost like a heart.
As they stand there, Leah studies Jacob, his features glowing in the moonlight. The way his hair whips around his face in the gentle wind, how his well muscled shoulders go slowly up and down with each of his breaths, how his eyes have a far away look to them.
"Are you checking me out?" Jacob asks, grinning.
Leah laughs quietly. "I just never noticed how much you grew up from that little kid I used to babysit."
"Have I grown up enough to be your boyfriend?" Jacob asks, wrapping Leah in his arms.
"Mmm hmmm," Leah mumbles. She stands on her toes se she can reach Jacob's lips.
Jacob picks her up so she doesn't have to reach as far, and crushes his lips furiously against Leah's.
"It's a full moon tonight," Jacob whispers.
"Werewolves," Leah jokes.
Their laughter is swallowed up by them pressing their lips against each other's roughly, their every wish being granted.
(A/N: Imagine Steven Strait as Jacob!!!!! Because he looks a lot better with Leah than that kid who's playing him in the movie. Just a suggestion. :P )
