"Hey no rewinding! I beat you fair and square!" Mya yells.

"Says the girl who just came in second place." David laughs.

"You're a dirty rotten cheater David!" She throws her wii controller to the ground as more thunder rolls.

"Someone's a sore loser." David rolls his eyes.

"And you're a cheater!" I retort. With the next blast of thunder the lights went out, leaving us in total darkness.

"Daddy!" Sara comes crying into the room and clings to David's leg.

"Whoa! What's wrong kiddo?" David asks picking her up and setting her on his lap.

" I don't know why she's so scared," Sparky says sassily, "It's not even that dark."

Sara gives an intimidating glare and points her finger at Coal. Her eyes turn bright white and suddenly Coal is flying and hitting walls around the room.

"Sara Allen! What did I tell you about doing that in the house!" Mya says causing Sara to drop Sparky on the couch.

"But it's raining! I can't take it outside!" Sara whines

"Maybe we should take it down stairs! That's if, you're not too scared," Sparky says, electricity forming at his fingertips, illuminating the dark room.

Before things get out of hand, David steps in and says," Maybe you two could finish it tomorrow? Tonight doesn't seem like a good night anyway."

Sara sneezes and disappears in a flash of light, only to reappear behind Sparky. "AAAAAAAAAH!" he screams and falls off the couch.

"Now we're even!"Sara says proudly.

"Fine," Sparky groans, rubbing his head.

Sara's hair glows faintly as she bears an evil grin. "Hey mom, will you go with me to get the lanterns?" she asks with an innocent facade.

"Why? You know where they are," Jinx asks suspiciously.

"But I wanna show you something!" Sara whines," I worked really hard on it!" She sticks out her lip in a pout.

Jinx sighs," Fine, let's go little light." They walk out of the room and down the hallway.

Sparky snickers as soon as they're out of sight. " Three, two, one…"

Something crashes and Mya runs back into the room. "SARA ALLEN! GET THAT THING OUT OF MY HOUSE!" she yells.

"Did you really have to break it mom?!" Sara yells," It took Sparky months to make it walk!"

At this point Sparky is rolling around on the floor laughing.

"Make what walk?" David giggles.

"The… the…. dead…. spider!" Sparky says in between laughs.

Mya shivers and plops back on the couch.

"They're your kids," David cackles.

Mya death stares her Husband.

"Guess who's not getting anything for their tenth birthday?" Mya says putting her arms across her chest.

"But mooooooom! It was funny!" Sara stomps.

"Yeah and it'll be equally as funny when I ground you from Mac and Cheese for a month!" Mya sasses back.

Sara gasps," I sorry! Please don't take the cheesy goodness away! I won't do it again I swear!"

Mya smiles and says," Okay, but on one condition will you be ungrounded."

"What?"

"You have to build me a blanket fort and bring me Oreos!"

"But we don't have Oreos!"

"You mean you don't have a stash in your sock drawer?"

"Aw man! You weren't supposed to know about that!"

"It's the only way," Mya shakes her head.

"Hmph, fine" Sara groans and goes to work.

"Dad, you realize I can turn the lights back on anytime right?" Sparky asks.

"Last time you did that we had to buy a new house, so no." Ekko says.

"Oh."
