Prologue: A Whole New World

Standing in an alleyway, nobody thought that the object that now currently resided there was strange, in fact people barely noticed the big, blue rectangular police box which lay dormant ever since it's last adventure, everybody just walked past it, but they got the feeling that there was something down there, a whole world of opportunity.

Two women came across the alleyway now and this time they definitely saw the outline of the Police box, the clever perception filter that was placed so nobody noticed the TARDIS wasn't going to work on them, a human female with light skin, blond hair, blue eyes walked next to an orange skinned, Togruta female, the Togruta was clearly the taller of the two, but she was the more sadder.

Dressed in brown clothes, wearing a Star Shaped necklace around her neck, her blue eyes threatening tears, Ahsoka Tano fought to push the tears back, quickly moving her eyes from side to side, as if looking for something, she turned to the human standing next to her, "You sure this is going to work?" She asked with a soft voice. The human didn't say anything and instead was reaching inside her pocket. Ahsoka was feeling uneasy about this. Because the last time they had tried this plan, they had come up with nothing to show.

She turned her eyes away from Charlotte Black, and focused her attention back on her former home, hesitant she too reached into her pocket and retrieved a small key. Once she drew the key out, Ahsoka stared at it for a while and watched as a lone tear fell onto the small silver object. Wiping away the tear, Ahsoka thought that this wasn't the time. Besides if all went according to own this time, the wait would have been worth it.

And, she thought too herself, I'll have Alex back. Avatar Alex, was Ahsoka's lover and had not been seen since the battle at Black Technology. He had fallen through a device that Charlotte had built called: The Hyper Portal, this would take you wherever you wanted to go, but unfortunately for Alex, he was going through a lot of stress at the time, he had been an unwilling test subject as he was forced down there when the platform broke apart.

The device which Charlotte had built had also been sabotaged, by a Chiss who called himself Thrawn, although Ahsoka had caught Thrawn, she still had to send him back to his own people in the Chiss Ascendency, which got on her nerves, she wanted to make the crimson eyed Chiss pay for the part he played in the disappearance of the Avatar, but she couldn't.

This plan, however futile it was had to work, it just had too, "Ahsoka," Charlotte said with concern in her voice, she had noticed, Ahsoka was drifting off into her train of thought, when she did this, it was probably best to leave her, Ahsoka had been going through a hard time. What with loosing Alex and all. "Are you okay?"

Ahsoka noticed that Charlotte was holding a small circular like device, one of her brand new Hyper Rings, modified based on Alex's plans, as the old prototypes had also been sabotaged. "Drifted off there for a second," She lied and quickly looked away from Charlotte, who nodded, she then rather unexpectedly took hold of her hand.

"You were thinking about him weren't you?"

Ahsoka didn't respond to Charlotte's question, but the look in her face gave her away almost instantly, "Ahsoka," Charlotte sighed, "take it from me," she was sounding rather upbeat today, almost confident that this plan was going to work. "As a girl who's been abandoned before," she chuckled at this, "by the same guy," she smiled and let go of Ahsoka's hand, "trust me, you got the better, look what happened to me." Although Ahsoka hated to admit this, Charlotte was right, Because of a misunderstanding between Alex and Charlotte when they were very young, this was in the time before Ahsoka met him. Charlotte had lost confidence and had allowed herself to be manipulated by dark forces, including Thrawn. It was only thanks to a recent intervention on Alex's part that she was able to break free of the dark influence. "Trust me, as soon as Alex gets his ship, he'll be on his way to see you."

"Are you saying that to reassure me, or yourself?" Ahsoka asked her, feeling a little uneasy, the moment that, they discovered a possible link to Alex's current location, they had tried many different ways to bring him back, including reaching out into the Force, all of them had failed, just as. Ahsoka had feared, this latest scheme, though was not Ahsoka's idea, but Charlotte's who had only just come up with the idea a few months ago. This didn't really improve the Togruta's mood, Charlotte could see this, and sighed.

"Don't say we didn't try," At this Charlotte smiled, Ahsoka couldn't help but smile too. The last few days had given her nothing to smile about, she had been too focused on her mission to bring Alex back that she hand practically given up her training to be a Jedi. "At least I'm the one with the plan this time."

"At least you didn't have to give up your training."

"Fair point. I assume you'll get back once he's back?"

"We'll see," Ahsoka said unsure of that too, and upon noticing this, Ahsoka thought, what would she do when Alex eventually came back? Would she continue on with her Jedi Training? Or give it all up to peruse a life of adventure with her lover? That was a hard question. As she was close to achieving her goal of becoming a Jedi Knight, under the watchful eye of Alex's former Jedi Master, Anakin Skywalker she made notes of how far she'd actually come. "It all really depends, if he's going to keep traveling."

There was a pause and Charlotte then asked, "Are you ready?" Taking a while to consider this, Ahsoka took a deep breath and placed the key into the lock, she turned the key clockwise and with a click, the door's of the magical ship opened once again. She closed her eyes and walked inside. Quickly followed by Charlotte, almost instantly the two were bathed in darkness. Due to the ship not being in use.

"It feels weird like this," Ahsoka said, opening her eyes to get a good look around. Usually, the bigger on the inside console room would be lit up in bright red lights, illuminated from a massive console which was the centrepiece of the Console room, chairs of all shapes and sizes were lay all over the place and various doorways led to places that Ahsoka had not even explore.

In the dark corner, Ahsoka felt herself knock into something, she guessed that it was a musical instrument, probably the guitar that Alex owned. And judging from the clattering sound it made when it fell onto a level below, Ahsoka guessed that she had broken it, "sorry!" She called to the broken guitar. Feeling guilty about this, Ahsoka promised herself that she would buy Alex a new one for when he made his way back. But for now there were more important matters to get back to.

Suddenly as if sensing there presence, the TARDIS doors slammed shut, Charlotte's stifled a scream as the lights around them blazed to life. The console was just the same as ever, but Ahsoka had noticed that it was beginning to gain dust, from a lack of use. Then quite bizarrely, a hologram projected itself next to the console. Ahsoka had to stifle a scream too, because the blue ghostly image of her boyfriend was standing right in front of her, tall and black haired, wearing a pair of easily recognisable glasses, and an odd assortment of black (it was hard to tell from a hologram.) Ahsoka Tano was sure, that standing before her now, was the image of the Second Incarnation of Alex, just before her regenerated.

She stepped forward and stared at the hologram, it stared back, curiously Ahsoka reached out to touch it and her hand went right through, she pulled her hand right back and shivered slightly, "weird," she said admiring the form, "Alex?" She asked smiling, the hologram turned towards her and she jumped back onto the console.

"I am the voice interface of this vessel." Hologram Alex said in a weird robotic voice, he gestured all around him, "I and I alone, speak for this ship, this Type 40 TARDIS." He gestured towards a plaque below the console, which Ahsoka had never noticed before. "I chose this form because it might please you."

Ahsoka was taken aback, "That's a little creepy," Charlotte said voicing her thoughts, but then she later regretted saying these words as the hologram turned it's attention. On her, "Ahsoka, why is it staring?" Ahsoka then noticed that the Hyper Ring in Charlotte's left hand was starting to glow a very bright gold.

"This capsule has detected the presence of a Hyper Ring device, valid one journey." The hologram said again in that weird robotic voice, turning slight, the Alex hologram found what he was looking for and walked towards a scanner, "place the item here, so that the ship can read the co-ordinates," walking nervously and following the Hologram's orders, Charlotte placed the ring onto the scanner, next to what Ahsoka noticed as the Four Element Tablet, which started to glow just as violently as the Hyper Ring.

"Now what?" Charlotte asked the Hologram, it didn't respond, Charlotte then backed away from the Tablet and the Hyper Ring slowly, as the tube device through the console started to go up and down,

Signalling that their plan was working.

The hologram Alex, turned towards Ahsoka and was it her imagination or did it smile at her, the familiar sound of the TARDIS roared to life, Ahsoka and Charlotte watched as the console room vanished all around them, Ahsoka wasn't surprised that the ship was leaving them behind, in fact she was rather expecting it. Nevertheless she was glad, it was hopefully going to back to Alex.

When the TARDIS had vanished, Ahsoka looked at the blank alleyway wall and then turned her attention towards Charlotte. "Well," she said, rather not expecting this plan to have worked, "we've done all we can," she and Ahsoka walked out of the alleyway and joined the massive throng of Coruscant citizens going about their daily lives. "It'll work right?"

"Don't doubt the plan now," Ahsoka said, she hated to admit this, but Charlotte had just voiced what she was thinking, but hey, this plan had worked so far, right? They had gotten to where they had worked towards, for months now. What else could go wrong? With her life, Ahsoka only guessed that plenty of things that were going to happen, whether she liked them to or not…
