A lot of typos and mistakes I'm sure. It's me super last minute trying to fit this in before the episode because I've had this idea in my head for awhile and I put it off till the last minute, so here it is.

They stand in the office gaping at each other, to her credit though; Kate is substantially more put together than Castle had thought she would be after that remark. Unlike himself however who is currently standing there with his arms out, eyes wide, and mouth opening and closing every other second trying to think of something to say that won't bring this relationship to a deadening halt.

"I'll be expecting an invite to the wedding."

'The Meredith Flare' as he called it, her special way of causing mass chaos in one single phrase. He wasn't quite sure how she managed to do so as often as she did, but he had to give her credit for being reliable on at least one thing.

Though, it could have been anything else. Anything at all would have been one hundred times better than this.

Now here they stand an hour later and still neither has said a word.

"It doesn't have to mean anything." He finally comes up with. "It's just Meredith putting her nose where it doesn't belong."

She nods.

"Look, I know its way too early to being even thinking about that but…"

"Is it really though?" She cuts him off.

"Really what?"

"Is it really so crazy to be thinking about that already, I mean I'm sure most couples talk about that way before where we are now and…"

"Kate, stop." He catches her attention by grabbing her shoulders. "You're overthinking this."

"No, I'm not, I shouldn't be afraid to talk about it. I mean I love you and why shouldn't…"

"Wait what?"

"What what?" She gives him and incredulous look .

"What did you just say?"

"I shouldn't be…"

"No, after that."

Her eyes go wide.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have pointed it out, if you're not ready, it's okay."

"No, no. I love you Castle. I just wish I would have said it differently, being the first time and all." She mumbles towards the end, looking like a little kid as she ducks her head and kicks her feet a little.

"Kate." He murmurs, putting a finger under her chin to force her to look at him.

He waits until she meets his eyes.

"I love you too." Then he closes the gap between them.

Thanks for reading kids.
