It was almost one in the morning when Quinn Fabray got home. West Side Story had ended hours ago, but the cast had celebrated their first show at Breadsticks, and time had flown by! Quinn had never realized how much she loved performing until West Side Story. She loved being on stage and singing. Quinn thought that she had nothing going for her after high school. But now she thought differently. Maybe performing was her way out.

"Mom. I'm home." Quinn announced as she entered the house.

"Mom?" She called again. Quinn entered the kitchen and found a note on the counter.

Gran called. Said she felt ill. I'm at her place. I'll be back the morning.

Xoxo, Mom.

P.S. I'm so sorry that I missed West Side Story. I promise I'll be at the next one!

Quinn shrugged. That was why her mom wasn't at the show. It didn't surprise her. Quinn's mom had never gone to any of Glee's performances, except for Regionals Sophomore year. Her mom wasn't a big fan of the arts. She never was. But it was something Quinn loved, and her mom would have to accept that.

Quinn sighed and took out her phone, hoping to have a text message from Mike waiting for her. Mike wasn't at the after party, and Quinn was nervous. She knew that Mike was having problems at home, and she was hoping that he wasn't hurt.

Mike and Quinn weren't dating. They were always assuring people of that. But, they were best friends. They became friends during the summer of junior year. Mike had come to her asking for advice about having sex with Tina. After that, they became very close. So close that people started thinking that they were an item behind Tina's back. But they weren't!

Yes, Quinn had a crush on Mike. Hell, she had a major crush on Mike! He was her first crush since her break-up with Finn. But she couldn't do anything about it. Mike was with Tina, and they were in love. There was nothing Quinn could do about it.

Quinn was about to head upstairs, when she heard a knock on the door. Her heart started racing. Quinn had seen enough horror movies, and knew what would happen next. She would open the door, a man in all black would say his car broke down, he would pretend to use the phone, and then he would kill her! She frantically started searching for a weapon. The only thing even remotely close to a weapon was an old umbrella.

"Who is it?" Quinn asked slowly.

"Q-Quinn?" She heard a familiar, sobbing voice. She dropped the umbrella and quickly opened the door.

"Mike." She greeted. He was crying. His eyes were red and puffy, and he looked more helpless than ever.

"My dad. H-He kicked me out. I had nowhere else to go." Mike said.

Quinn pulled Mike into the house and they both sat down on the couch.

"I told him that I didn't want to be a doctor. We had a big argument after the show and he kicked me out!" Mike said, burying his face in his hands.

"Why did you come here? Why didn't you go to Tina's?" Quinn asked.

"Me and Tina broke up."

"What? Why?"

"Because I love you. You get me. I feel like I can tell you anything. I've been in love with you for God knows how long." Mike said. He put his hand on her cheek and kissed her softly.

"I love you too, Mike." Quinn said, making Mike smile. That was the first time he smiled in weeks.

"You can stay here tonight. My mom won't be back until tomorrow, then we can talk about you staying here." She said.

"Thank you." He said.
