A/N: Hi! Did you miss me? I'm so sorry I put SWAC season 3 on hiatus but I've really needed time to concentrate on other things. I'm going to finish it, I promise. There is no set timeline for when I'll start posting again. Anyways, I should get on to the actual fanfiction. I felt like writing something so here it is. It is just a one-shot so please nobody ask me to continue it because though I love SWAC, I've used up most of my inspiration, fanfiction wise.
Disclaimer: This got old a long time ago… I don't own SWAC.
Lights cascaded through the sky, splashing the brilliant dark blue of the night with wondrous colors. Rippling sounds crackled and popped; a loud and beautiful work of art.
Sonny stared in awe at the fireworks as they rained down like colored glitter, falling from the hands of a child. Her eyes reflected the firework show as her mouth tilted in a large smile. Chad watched her the whole time, paying no attention to the firework show just in front of them.
It was the first time he'd noticed her in such a different light, noticed the way her eyes lit up when she smiled. It'd only been about a month since her arrival at the studio and she already held her spot at the studio firmly, a dedicated actress.
He'd never say it out loud but he actually found her to be an amazing actress. She outshone all her cast mates and even most people at the studio. Excluding him. He was the best the studio had to offer, after all.
His gaze was still fixed on her as she stood mesmerized by the explosive showers of light and color. He supposed it was a good idea to invite her to the party he was hosting that day. He was awestruck not by the fireworks but simply of her and her natural beauty.
Her hair was chestnut brown and her eyes, chocolate and rich. He's always thought brunette girl were more attractive than blondes. To him, the blondes he'd dated before were always so much more, fake than the brunettes.
At that moment, Sonny caught his eyes grazing her features and tilted her head at him in curiosity. He smirked, letting his mask come up and watched as she rolled her eyes and looked back to the lights.
Chad knew there was something special about her. She as so different from anyone he'd met in Hollywood and it intrigued him to no limit. He wouldn't say he was in love. He wouldn't even say it was a crush at that point but he definitely felt the desire to know more about this girl.
And so, for the rest of the night, he watched her in amazement. His thoughts drifted between her and the lights, almost comparing them in a sense.
He thought of Sonny, a girl so loud and bright. And he thought of the fireworks, bright lights creating such loud and irritating sounds. Sonny in her own right was definitely a firework. The one thing he left out though that they both had in common: They were both so beautiful, it was nearly impossible to look away.
As Sonny watched the fireworks until the very last explosion of the rainbow, Chad watched Sonny until the very last moment of the party.
…
Sonny gazed at the fireworks with such a passion, she hardly noticed Chad staring, but when she did, she saw something in him that she felt in herself, an adoration for something so beautiful, so explosive, you just couldn't look away.
A/N: Have I lost my touch yet? Or am I actually welcomed back into the world of FF with open arms? This will probably be one of the last one-shots I'm writing so I hope you enjoy. =)
