Alright, this is my attempt at a Miraculous fanfic. Just to be clear before we start, I'm featuring OC akumas, so I'm also accepting submissions if anyone wants to submit them... please?
Normally I'd cover more in my first note, but I don't feel like it right now, so-
Marinette: JDunks doesn't own Miraculous!
... I do this quite often, and screw the rules, I'm using dragons. PIERCE!
Marinette: AHHHH! FLAMING ACID! HOW IS THAT EVEN NECESSARY?!
And don't try that again, or it'll be my dog!
...
Ladybug winced as the Collector took another swing at her with his book. This wasn't the easiest battle she'd fought, and it didn't help that her suspicions about Gabriel Agreste being Hawk Moth was wrong (HA HA HA. NO.). She dodged another book swing. And another, and another... would this guy ever get tired?!
She dodged again and tripped, gasping as she hit the ground. The Collector laughed triumphantly and brought his book down on her... and didn't.
The akumatized villain yelped in pain as something sprouted from his shoulder. He stumbled back and more shiny projectiles struck the ground (except the one that stabbed into his elbow), driving him backwards.
She blinked in confusion, pondering it for a moment, until Cat Noir hurled himself at the villain, and she joined in, pushing it to the back of her mind.
...
The battle was over, Miraculous Ladybug had restored Paris, the events of the day were done, and Marinette was back home, examining the projectile- a semitransparent, bronze feather. Tikki floated over. "Do you have any idea what this is?"
Tikki looked at the feather, then gasped, paling pink. "It's a falcon feather!"
Marinette examined the feather. "Are falcon feathers normally metal?"
Ignoring her wielder's sarcasm, Tikki clarified. "A feather from the Falcon Miraculous. It's a Miraculous that grants the wielder the power of Horus."
Marinette rested her cheek on her palm. "Horus was the Egyptian war god, right?"
"Let's go with that. The Miraculous originated in Egypt, and it increases strength, but it does have a side effect."
"What kind?"
"A desire to obtain more power. It's led to pretty extreme occurrences in the past."
Marinette frowned. "So we should be wary?"
Tikki nodded. "Since they helped you, I doubt this Falcon will be an enemy, but try not to let them near the Miraculous. Or akuma butterflies for that matter."
Marinette nodded and leaned back in her chair, pondering. "I wonder where this falcon hero is..."
Earlier that day...
The boy couldn't realize he'd done it, but he had. It wouldn't be long before Paris's heroes knew about him.
He spread his wings and flapped down from where he'd shot at the Collector, landing in an alleyway. "Talons In!"
A flash of bronze light was gone as quick as it appeared, and a boy in a grey jacket looked left and right before adjusting a blue baseball cap and fixing a pair of sunglasses. A small feathered head poked out of his pocket. Spiir looked up gently at her wielder. "You know you don't have to hide here, right?"
He sighed. "I can't take the chance. It's bad enough I just admitted my existence to those two. If anyone here recognizes me, I'll be swarmed."
"Will..."
"Spiir, you know how I feel about this. I'm not showing my face to Paris until my prescence is made public."
The falcon kwami sighed. "Alright. You know I'm only concerned about you."
"That I do."
Will suddenly collapsed as blistering pain ran through his skull. Voices whispered in his ears.
So close...
Distracted...
Could've flown...
Grabbed...
Even the akuma...
Tikki...
Cataclysm...
POWER...
The voices were cut off as Spiir placed small appendages on either side of Will's head. "Don't listen to them."
He sighed and stood up (when had he sat down? He didn't remember.). "It's getting worse. I thought that since Grandma stored the other Miraculouses they'd stop, but now..."
"Active Miraculouses are Miraculouses yours can push you to steal. I've seen it before, chick."
Will sighed. "I guess I'll just have to learn to live with it."
Spiir raised an eyebrow. "What makes you say that?"
"They know about me, so they'll probably seek me out as an ally."
Spiir noted he wasn't too happy about that- ironic, considering he was the wielder of the War Miraculous. She did, however, know something that would cheer him up.
"You want to go for a night flight?"
Will's face lit up like the sun.
Back with Marinette...
The girl in question heard a bleep from her computer that signified a Ladyblog update. She scrolled down it, and her heart stopped cold. Alya was reporting a possible akuma.
A teenage boy with large, bronze-coloured wings.
Tikki confirmed her suspicions. "That's him, Marinette!"
"Tikki, Spots On!"
...
Will laughed gleefully as he shot through the air, spiralling over the streets. He had his sights set on the Effiel Tower tonight, and he was most certainly going to fly that high. His ambitions were unfortunately squashed when a silver baton shot past his gaze. "Ack!"
He looked over to the rooftops to see the baton retracting into Cat Noir's hand. The feline hero smirked. "So, I guess you're the akuma? Huh, I'll get to beat you and see my lady! Two birds, one stone!"
Normally Will wouldn't have attacked someone, but he really hated bird puns, and his Miraculous was screaming at him to take the cat's Miraculous. He'd settle for smashing Cat Noir into a fine powder.
With a birdlike screech, he whipped the sword off his back and swung it. Cat Noir barely got up his baton in time, and began confidently fighting what he believed to be an akuma, and realized his mistake.
He could fence. This guy could fight.
Within a few barely blocked strikes, Cat Noir's baton had been sent flying. The falcon boy didn't stop there, continuing to lash out, slashing and slashing. Cat Noir barely dodged his strikes, until deciding enough was enough. "Cataclysm!"
He charged, aiming for the sword. Where else could the akuma be?
The boy glared, and his body crackled with golden sparks. "Warrior's Might!"
He neatly slid to the side of Cat Noir's lunge, and slammed a glowing golden fist into his side, sending him flying five rooftops away.
The cat hero gasped in pain, even as his Cataclysm disintegrated a random flowerpot- apparently he was on someone's rooftop garden.
And Will sprang again, this time throwing a punch through the air and blasting Cat Noir with a burst of wind. He looked at the golden meter that had appeared on the back of his right hand, and watched it go down. 30%. I've got enough strength to finish beating this guy up.
He channeled the remainder of his strength and threw a final punch, aiming to teach Cat Noir how to fly- the hard way.
It didn't work. A red and black spotted yo-yo zigzagged across the rooftop, trapping his fist and forcing it out of the way. He gritted his teeth as the resulting wind blast used up the remaining 30% of his strength. He immediately went for his backup plan- a flick of his wing launched his soft feathers, which instantly hardened to bronze. The heroes began to dodge as he sent multiple barrages at them, only ceasing when he heard a beeping sound- he had three minutes. He immediately turned to leave, until Ladybug called out.
"Wait! We just want to talk!"
He didn't turn around, but called out, "Look, your partner and I are both about to detransform. Drop that feather in your yo-yo, you'll be able to contact my Miraculous that way."
True to his word, he hurled a feather so that it landed next to Ladybug's foot. "Now, if you'll excuse me..."
He aimed to fly off, and Ladybug called again, "What should we call you?"
He paused, then turned his head towards them, still flapping his wings to stay in the air. "...Peregrine. Call me Peregrine."
And with that, he was gone into the night.
...
Alright, that's it for now. If you have any questions, review or PM me. Just to clear up Peregrine's power:
Warrior's Might: Enables user to enhance strength. This enhancement can be used in varying amounts, from simple heavy lifting using 2% and launching a person into outer space using 100%. However, once 100% of this strength has been used, wielder will only have four minutes to remain transformed.
