Hey guys, I'm back with another oneshot! I'm not entirely sure who voted for this on my poll, but I know someone did. This is just supposed to be plain humour, some Anidala fluff included, but you guys are fine with that right? After all, it was supposed to be Anidala from the start! Also, I recommend listening to a funny song while reading this just for the heck of it. Enjoy!
Padmé knew there was going to be trouble when Anakin walked into the room. "Hi Ani" she said, barely even looking away from her computer. "Hey Padmé" Anakin replied leaning against the wall. "You know, I'm supposed to be taking a break from all this war stuff. We should go do something fun" he continued. Padmé sighed, "I'd love to, but no." she said simply.
"Oh come on, it'll be fun!" Anakin stated, ignoring her, "Lets go!". With that, he grabbed Padmé and jumped out of the window. "Ani! What are you doing?!" she screamed. "Oh look, free speeder!" he yelled over the sound of other speeders zooming around. They were literally about to land on a parked speeder in the middle of the road!
"Anakin, Stop!". Whoosh! Padmé landed on the parked speeder. To her surprise, Anakin wasn't there! "Okay, this is getting weird" she mused. With a sudden start, the speeder zoomed off. "Wha-?" Padmé began. Anakin was beside her again. She felt a small giggle escape her lips. Then another, and another! Soon, the couple found them selves laughing uncontrollably. They just couldn't stop!
"Hey, you haven't laughed like that in a really long time. We should do this more often" Anakin said when they had managed to stop. "Yeah, its been a while" Padmé replied, stoking her hair. For once in a lifetime, Padmé had allowed herself to let her hair go loose. It was long with luscious waves and flowed nicely in the wind.
"Want some more action?" Anakin asked, "This thing has a flight mode!". He pointed his finger at a small red button. "My pleasure" Padmé said, pressing the button. With a sudden jolt, they blasted into the air. "Hold on tight!" Anakin yelled over the sound of wind roaring all around them. And she did. They came to a stop at about 30 feet about ground, a lot less scary than it seemed, but still frightening.
The two were breathing heavily with their eyes unnaturally wide. They looked at each other at the same time, and giggled at the sight of it. "Um, I think we should get back down now" Anakin breathed. "Yeah" Padmé replied, still breathing heavily, "I think we should". Slowly, Anakin lowered the speeder until it touched the ground. "Hey, there's a cantina near by. Do you wanna get something to drink?".
"Yeah, I'd like that" Padmé replied smiling.
After Anakin had bought their drinks, they decided to watched the sunset from the top of a building (with some help from the speeder of course). "Thanks Ani" Padmé sighed, "I miss life like this. I wish we could do this more often, you know, like old times". Anakin put a hand on her shoulder. "Then maybe we should" he replied softly.
The couple continued to watch the sunset… Until their speeder zoomed away without them!
