Drabbles Sherlock Fanfiction by Onezumi-Daisuke
Wow… I wrote a drabble… It's just so darn short. I haven't written anything this short in YEARS. (And then it was {mostly crappy} poetry.) Anyway, I'll probably add to this later, but it'll be very random and probably unrelated chapters. If I keep up the pattern, each chapter will be titled for the episode where it would be found, or closest too it, unless I completely make s**t up. Then, fair game… we'll see.
I don't own Sherlock, John, or any other characters you may read in these fictions; they're the property of Sir AC Doyle & BBC. With that being said, enjoy.
Chapter One: The Blind Banker
"Just moved in, John."
"What?"
"New label," Sherlock stated plainly, tapping the white, hand-written label with his fingertip.
"Could've just changed it," John responded, sounding slightly confused.
"No one does that," Sherlock scowled condescendingly down at him.
Then it happened, just after Sherlock pressed the call button, a young woman's voice answered, transforming the pointed, scowling countenance of the consulting detective, to that of an absolute stranger. The friendly eyes reflected the same bashfulness that could be found in the embarrassed smile that spread below them. The entire face, so familiar, and yet entirely unknown to John, pleaded shyly for assistance from the woman of whom only her voice could be heard, slightly tinny, from the security speaker.
John was amazed. It was wholly remarkable; in that single instant Sherlock had changed his entire demeanor, the set of his face, the tone of his voice, absolutely EVERYTHING, to gain favor with the faceless woman. To get what he wanted.
Suddenly John was very, very worried about in just whom he'd decided to put his faith and trust…
A/N: Ah, I love good 'ole John. The humanity of him. The checks and balances of a man who's seen and done things most would never imagine.
Get kidnapped by the British government, whisked off to some dark parking garage and interrogated? No big deal.
See a glimpse as to the extent of Sherlock's ability to change himself so as to manipulate others into giving him what he wants? Terrifying.
And maybe a bit not good. :D
