Thank you for saying that part, Annabeth.

No problem. This is about Lily again isn't it?

Correct.

*sigh* that girl has a long story.

Lily Evans wiped her tears away angrily, as she stormed from the humiliation. It's the same scene, 5th year; after Snape called her you- know- what.

She entered the common room, her friends on her trail. She flopped down on the cushy armchair, but didn't talk. Not a single word. Her friends bit their lip sympathetically, but Lily ignored them. She never needed nor wanted their sympathy. She could do it alone.

Betrayal… Hurt… Anger… Hatred…

The worst of the feelings a person may feel. The person you trusted the most, the person you defend from the other's humiliation, has betrayed you. And now you're hurt. You're hurt beyond measure. Variations of sick emotions are expressed on your face until you decided you're angry. Your blood is boiling underneath your skin. You want to yell, you want to explode. But you can't. Hatred is eating all your emotions, until it's the remaining one left. It's hatred towards the person who betrayed you; hatred towards the person who hurt you.

Lily stormed off again, this time bumping on a first year. Lily glared at him, making him cower and scamper away in fear. She wasn't supposed to be like this… But her emotion got control of the very being standing in front of the portrait hole.

"Don't follow me. I want to be alone." She said in a deadly quiet voice, but it cracked the whole way there. The portrait hole opened, and then entered the four marauders. Lily took a glance at them, and then walked away, another set of tears ready to pour down.

It was indeed a starry night, a nice view in the astronomy tower. But it isn't a nice view for Lily today. It isn't a nice mood either. She choked out a dehydrated sob, and pulled her legs closer to her.

She's tired, and weak, and dehydrated. But she doesn't want to get up.

She always knew he would end up like this. Her friends tried and tried for a thousand times to talk her into it. But she won't listen. She would defend him from them all, saying that being a Slytherin doesn't mean he has to be one of them. She was aware of it, the moment the Sorting Hat placed him in Slytherin. But she never lost hope.

She was hoping that his love for her and their friendship would survive, after war. But it didn't. Memories flashed back to her, as she started sobbing again. But something made him cold. He was suddenly cold, and then everything crashed down.

She thought… she thought…

Lily closed her eyes, and laid back. Maybe, everyone's right. She must not trust a Slytherin. After all, they are slimy gits.

She had a rough life.

No one had a perfect life, Annie.
