Dear Mum and Dad,

Hogwarts is beyond fantastic! I am very grateful to you two for not telling me too much about the wonders of the castle and letting me experience everything myself. Of course I've been sorted into Gryffindor, and I even made a new friend today! He's a Black but is in Gryffindor and hates his entire family, which automatically sealed our friendship. There's also this red-head in class who happens to know everything, all the time, and I still haven't decided how I feel about her. You should know that I feel like spending every single day doing nothing but practice quidditch, but I promise to try and attend classes (whenever I feel like it). I'm just joking!
