I held my wrist close to my chest as I stared at the big wooden door.
I was wrestling with the wolves on the beach when I heard a snap, I instantly knew something happened, and not just because of the fire spreading through my wrist. Jacob made me promise to go right to see grandpa when I got home, but instead I hid in my room, I love my grandpa Carlisle, but NOT when he is in doctor mode. Eventually I couldn't take it anymore, it hurt so much. So here I am, standing outside his office, staring at the giant wooden door.
What are you doing?! my mind screamed at me. He won't let you see the pack anymore! I shook my head, grandpa wouldn't keep me from seeing them, he knows the pack is my family as much as they are. But what if he tells daddy? He will be so angry. Nope, thats it, I can't do this.
Just as I turned to leave the door opened. "Renesmee?" grandpa called.
busted.
"Hi grandpa.." I said, I looked up and saw his eyes fixed on the arm pressed tightly to my body. "What happened?" he asked, he lead me into his office and quickly slipped into doctor mode and started checking my wrist. "I was wrestling with the wolves." I said, I watched as he gently felt around my wrist. I did have to admit, his ice cold hands felt so good on my throbbing limb.
He stepped back and flashed to the closet to get some things. He came back over to me and set the things down, he then took my other hand firmly in his.
Oh this is not good.
He pulled my chin up until I met his eyes. "Renesmee. you know I love you, and I will never hurt you" I nodded. "You know I want to help you" I nodded again. He brushed my cheek with his thumb, brushing away ears I didn't know were falling. He gently took my wrist in his hands, I whimpered in both fear and pain. "grandpa. no.." "shhh sweetheart" he cupped my face in his hands and gently brushed his thumbs over my eyes, encouraging them to close. Then his hands disappeared and he started humming.
Moments later he kissed my forehead. "open your eyes princess, its alright" I whimpered and slowly opened my eyes to find a deep purple cast holding my wrist and my grandpas arms wrapped tightly around me. I smiled and curled close, enjoying the comfort I felt. I felt him place a kiss into my hair as he murmured "I will always take care of you" this made my smile grow. I curled even closer as he started humming again.
"I love you grandpa"
"I love you too my princess"
I relaxed further in his arms and listened to him hum, eventually the darkness took over and I fell asleep.
A/N just a little grandpa/granddaughter fluff. they so didnt get enough attention in the books/movies. i will eventually put one up for each of the cullens. jasper is next.
