this is technically supposed to be a follow up on the other Eternity piece - a more lighthearted piece for those that... like amie, don't like the angst.

ETERNITY, TOO

It's not just her. It's not just him. It's all of them. And sometimes, sometimes - that's more than enough.

But see, Eternity is also like this:

He wakes up. The kitchen is at work by her mistress Makoto's arduous hands, as if a factory fresh from the Industrial Revolution. And Rei's leisurely sitting on his couch, looking over a small book retrieved from, most likely, his ever growing library.

"So we're going to meet them at the pool, at twelve?"

"Something like that, Mako."

"More than enough time for me to make lunch, then!"

Eternity is also like this:

His fiancé walks past him from his doorway spot, drip after drip, with her large beach towel wrapped about her as if some make-shift sleeveless gown. (Her house's shower is broken, so she's using his.) And yeah, he should probably tell her to not do that - be half-naked -around company. But their company is the type where decorum is irrelevant. They all are at that point of friendships, where you don't have to excuse yourself after burping or greet each other every time you see one another. Bowing isn't a necessity either.

It is shocking in that it's not very Japanese, but. It doesn't make them feel guilty, because in their eyes - no inappropriate behavior is witnessed, when they're together. Manners are, frankly, unimportant.

(And before you ask: it's not like he doesn't appreciate his fiancé's physical charms. It's just that he isn't quite the feral and carnal creature everyone seems to feature him as. Not that he isn't a passionate sort of person and, wait. Why is he discussing this with you?)

Instead, Eternity is also like this:

"Hey! Usa has the same towel as me! I think the little Eiffel Towers print is so cute." Minako gushes.

Ami smiles, "Michiru-san is so kind to get us gifts from her Paris tour..."

"Ami," Rei says smoothly, "they want us to be less formal now, you know. No suffixes. We're beyond that."

Ami flushes.

Hotaru chirps up from her spot at the floor, looking up from the large collection of manga she's borrowed from Minako and Usagi, "Oh! I forgot! Haruka-papa says that Setsuna-mama and she..."

Yeah.

Eternity is like this.

guh - i love writing moments like these. just normal slices of life for the group. and not only light pieces. but also just humane pieces. i love it when everyone's together. like - that's a romance of itself, when everyone is together. a platonic one, sure. but a romance nonetheless. because mamoru and usagi love each other, yes. but the girls love usagi too - and again, it's not romantic. it's almost deeper than that. and it's not Duty. it's... *stops rambling, coughs* sorry. anyway!

i hope i didn't offend anyone with how the group ignores the etiquette of practically all asians - bowing in respect, etc etc. i just sort of wanted to make it clear that...they're very comfortable with each other now.
