Fleeting Thoughts

She just couldn't understand. Did fate hate her? Sure she'd dated other guys but none were the same. One day she'd walk around the corner and see them cheating on some random girl. Well he was the same but she couldn't hold it against him- it wasn't like they were an item. But through all the years, never had it hurt as much as it did by him.

She should be used to it she told herself. After all it wasn't unusual, but it hurt so much... Watching him treat another girl like a princess and caress her with kisses. Watch him lead them to secluded hotels where he would pleasure her in ways that he had and would never had- touch her. It hurt.

It hurt seeing their eyes sparkle as he walked them out sometimes supporting them. They were just so happy and yes- she was jealous and heart broken...

Fate hated her. No despised her. Had she begone some wrong in her past life? Had she disgraced them? Would she ever be happy? So many questions and never any answers...

He didn't only make her laugh and be happy, but he made her strong.

He alone was capable of making her flame burn to blood red reflecting the sunset in it's majestic glory.

He alone made her fire reflect his eyes in a dance with the wind. Blue as azure. He turned her ablaze. He made her strong...

But he made her cry... Liquid crystals running down her pale and ashen face as she sits on a tree looking in the distance. The wind in her hair only reminding her of him and making sobs return. She was strong but he reduced her to shattered and irreparable child. A child with eyes clouded in pain. Only in her brief moments of reprieve delivered by him and select few made her dream and forget.

Forget about the pain he caused.

He did so many things... he made her do so many things...

He made her swoon- laugh- cry- forget- dream- aspire- strive- sob- improve- long- remember- achieve-... but he also achieved making her love. He held her flaming heart as much as it pained her.

She loved him and he hurt her...

It was a cycle one which was not to be broken. They weren't supposed to be together no matter how much they returned each others love...

Ayano had become accustomed to this pain...

A/N: Hey Guys! Been a while since I posted a Kaze no Stigma FF. So I felt the need to have to. I just love this anime and it's really rather sad how few stories there are for this. So I know this is short and also turned out completely different than I had been planned it to but thought I'd share.

Enjoy and please do review! I love getting feedback ^.^
