The vague vague memory image of my parents blur I felt it was them I felt guilty for not knowing a Chozo clear as day hands them a rope my mother and father join hands holding the rope between them where I should be the Metroid it is tied to floats like a balloon just above their heads they smile large disturbing smiles no eyes all smiles I look away gaze down upon myself my bare form covered in blue patches spurting phazon hairs in most places A cap mushrooms it's way from between my legs out from the Place no one else has ever been no one the sadness washes over me as real as cold water alone alone going back mission after mission my parents are still standing there bounty after bounty still smiling back in federation days Adam the only person I had ever considered getting close to must have been twice my age he was my CO he gave his life for the mission just as I surely will now his voice pours from my ship's computer to tell me where I need to be killed next the Chozo twists and elongates into The One That Will Not Die and eats my parents as the Metroid gives a "SQUEE" and happily floats up to join the seething cloud that hovers above the masses of dried husks that is all galactic civilization

I awoke in a cold sweat "Lady?" The screen infront of me flickered on due to my newly aroused state "Dreaming again?"

Stars lain out before me "Do a search."

"For?"

A planet I didn't recognize came into view "Pirate Lord Ridley."

". . . . . Pirate Lord Ridley is deceased, Samus."

I closed my eyes; we were now in orbit of this unknown planet I didn't care to scan.

"Samus?"

The Fusion Suit lay dormant in it's place "Yes?"

"You now have eleven unread Galactic Federation Messages."

"Thank you ADAM."

{you know there is so much more horrifying stuff than this, this is just the tip of Samus' iceberg}
