As cool as that would be, I do not own Gaia or any of the Characters. Except Kaira.
The Untold tales of Gaia 2: The Beatdown Goes On
[AKA: How Kaira met Liam
Kaira walked down the gritty, industrial streets of Aekea. The gold she had gotten for the Elegant Veil was burning a hole in her pocket, and someone said that there were some cool clothes down at 'Crate & Apparel'. Also, she didn't have a place to live yet. So, it was first to the housing commission. She entered to find a tall, exotic woman behind the counter.
"Hello, I'm Josie."
"Can I ask you a question?"
Josie sighed. She was used to this question. "Yes, I'm a woman."
"Well, obviously." Kaira said bluntly. Josie smiled. "Is this the Housing Commission?"
"Yes." Together, they figured out living arrangements for Kaira.
"So, do you get the gender question a lot?" Kaira asked after they had finished.
"All the time."
"Wow. That's got to suck."
"You have no idea. How could you tell?"
"It was obvious." Kaira replied dryly. Josie laughed.
"Well, someone else got it on the first try too. Unfortunately, he was also automatically sizing me up as a potential . . . well I'm not sure a potential what . . . but it probably had to do with a relationship that wasn't entirely platonic." She sighed and shook her head, "Liam, when will you ever learn."
"Who's Liam?"
"You haven't met him yet?" Kaira shakes her head no. "He runs 'Crate & Apparel'. Just a heads up, he'll probably hit on you."
"Wandering eye?"
"Hand actually." Kaira soon left, pondering this statement. She entered C&A, and saw a pair of jeans that she just loved. The blond behind the counter greeted her.
"What's your name?"
"Kaira."
"Yo Kaira!" She rolled her eyes. He thought he was hot stuff. "See anything you like?" He asked, lounging against one of the shelves.
"Those jeans look pretty cool." She gestured towards them.
"Well then, let's just take a look at those." He started to guide her over to the jeans, his hand on her back. But then the hand went lower.
BAD TOUCH! Her mind screamed. She suddenly understood the wandering hand comment. Calmly and coldly, she told him, "Remove your hand from me, or I'll remove it. Permanently."
His hand remained, and he had the gall to say, "Oh, feisty are we. I can handle that." Then he did a half growl, half purr and gave a little squeeze. Kaira saw red and grabbed the closest thing off the shelf, a basic wooden hammer.
Meanwhile, Josie was walking over to see how Kaira was making out with Liam. Outside the door, she could here the sound of repeated thunks and hollering. Kaira stormed out, yelling after her into the store, "NEXT TIME, I'LL USE THE METAL END PERVERT!!!" Josie watched her leave, and entered the store. Liam was lying curled up on the ground, whimpering and clutching his arm.
"Liam?" He looked up, terrified.
"Is she gone?" Josie sighed.
"Yes." Liam dragged himself off the floor. "What on Gaia did you do?!"
He mumbled, "The usual." Josie groaned in exasperation.
"You know, you kind of asked for it."
"She beat me with the hammer!" Josie raised an eyebrow. "OK, she smacked me a couple times with the wooden handle. But look!" He showed her his arm.
"Liam, it hasn't even begun to bruise."
He shrugs, "It still hurt. Josie, she's a monster!" Josie rolled her eyes. Kaira stormed in. Liam squealed loudly, and flung himself behind the counter.
"I forgot my purse. Oh, hi Josie." Kaira said. She grabbed her purse, "See you around!" She said and left.
"Oh yes. She's a real hellion. I'm terrified." Josie told Liam flatly. "You got off lucky. Next time, I'm lending her my broom." Josie left as well. It took a full hour before Liam dared to come out from behind the counter. And that was only to turn the sign to 'Closed'.
