Alright, so this is a little oneshot that I cooked up...Hehe, I was once again on a sugar high when I wrote this...:)
Disclaimer: Nope, don't own...sniff...
"Hey guys," Herry called to the others, all in the living room, from the doorway.
"I'm going to the supermarket, anyone need anything?"
Various calls of "No"'s and "No thanks" ensued.
In the living room, the six remaining teens where playing a game of truth or dare, and it was Theresa's turn.
"I pick...Archie!" she said, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
Internally debating which of the two would be the most disastrous, Archie finally chose truth.
Theresa's face fell in disappointment.
"Okay, well...oh, I dunno...what kind of hair dye do you use to dye your hair?"
Confused, Archie looked at Theresa.
"What do you mean, hair dye?"
Frowning, Theresa said, "well, to dye you're hair...purple isn't your natural color...right?" she said hesitantly.
Archie looked shocked.
"Didn't I ever tell you guys that purple is my natural hair color?"
The others all looked dumbfounded.
"You aren't serious, are you?" Jay asked.
Archie nodded.
C'mon, it isn't possible to have naturally purple hair...it's against the laws of genetics!" Odie exclaimed.
"Apparently not..." Atlanta said, still bewildered at what she just learned.
"Well, do you know why your hair is like that?" Jay asked. Even Neil seemed interested now, since he put down his mirror.
Archie sighed.
"Okay, well, Achilles' hair was red...but his mother was a sea nymph, so her hair was blue..." he paused, gathering his thoughts.
"Over the generations of descendants, the blue gene mixed with the red gene, making a purple gene...it took I don't know how ling for the two genes to totally melt into one another, but by my generation, it was, so...I have purple hair..." he finished, scratching the back of his head.
The others looked bewildered.
Finally, it was Atlanta who broke the silence.
"Awesome..." she said, staring intently at Archie, her light green eyes big.
Theresa smirked. "Yeah, just think you two, when you have kids, they might have purple hair..."
Both Archie and Atlanta blushed furiously, trying to say something, but stuttering incomprehensively.
"Who told you about the, err, origins of your hair?" Odie asked.
Shaking his head from side to side to get rid of the words that Theresa had said before, Archie looked at Odie.
"Well, I asked Aries, and he explained it to me..." trailing off, he resumed the scratching of his head.
"Well, maybe you should dye it a normal color...purple doesn't go well with your complexion..." Neil said from the couch where he was lying, gazing at his reflection.
Glaring at him, Archie silently promised himself to go and mess up Neil's hair as soon as possible...or better yet, put some hair dye in his shampoo...preferably something pink ...or maybe green...
Signalling to Atlanta, his partner in crime, they silently headed out of the door, on a pretext that they were going out on a run, and headed towards the pharmacy, both with wide grins on their faces.
Neil would have a nasty surprise next time he washed his hair...a very colourful surprise...
