When Michael injured cost by her negligence, Alex blames herself. Felt herself stretched to the point of no turning back, she's hunting Amanda alone for revenge; unknown that she's digging her own grave more further, can Nikita save her or it's all going to be too late..
Chapter 1
(Nikita POV)
It was all happen so fast as Michael crumble to his feet my thought shattered, I don't understand how can Alex just stand there when she clearly have a clear shot on Amanda. My head having her own personal battle as the worst possible scenario come to mind, 'no, it can't be, Alex would never betray you, for God sake, that girl take a bullet for you'; 'But how could she let Amanda go and letting her shot Michael, how can Alex let her go after everything that psycho manipulative bitch done to us?'
I have so much to ask her, yet mirroring my position in this division medical waiting room now, we both couldn't bear ourselves to look at each other at the moment, mostly because I'm afraid what came out of my mouth when worry and rage drive me.
The young Dr. that replacing the last one; courtesy to Amanda, come toward me and how I'm glad when his words match my wish "His going to be okay, the bullet was through n through, he'll be move to general medical unit in two hours where you can see him after" He was out of sight after I'm thanking him.
I saw the relieve in her eyes when she heard the news, the worry that clouded my mine clear me making me see that how lost she look, how detach;something not right here... "Alex what happen back there?" Her blue eyes didn't meet mine as the floor is much interesting to her now; was she avoiding me? It pains me to seeing her struggle with herself "Alex, look at me" my fingers softly touching her face help her glance focusing on me.
Then I saw her, how can I be so blind, facing me was the version of Alex that I wish was long gone "Alex, please don't tell me..."
"I'm so sorry Nikita" she cut me off, her teary gaze back to the floor, too ashamed to meet mine. Her rambles after didn't catch my ears, I was stunned.
Her apology was the confession that shattered me most, as if she was the Amanda mole as I thought in my crazy moment. The scenes rewinding in my mind, that's why she freeze in a middle of an ops, she wasn't let Amanda escape, she must not even realize that Amanda or anybody for that matter was right in front of her, she lost in her own world. Instead of trying to kill us; as my thought rather, she's killing herself...Alex's back on drugs.
