I do not normally do this but I am desperate. I have spent 3 days searching for this particular story that I cannot seem to find.
The story revolves around Harry Potter and Sirius Black where Sirius is freed from Azkaban after proving that he did not kill James and Lily. Sirius told Remus about Peter cutting his finger off, and Remus overhearing the Ministry about only finding a finger, so Remus put two and two together, and Sirius is eventually freed.
Sirius kidnaps Harry from the Dursley's, and there is a scene where Remus floos to Sirius' place only to find Harry safe with Sirius.
There are also parts of the story where Sirius takes Harry around Diagon Alley. Harry is initially afraid that Sirius would be cross with him when he spilt his milk, and when he broke a picture frame. Sirius has a dog, the name of which I forgot, though I do remember that the dog is very well-trained.
The last chapter I remember reading in this story is when Death Eaters find out that Harry has been kidnapped, thus the protection of the Dursley's taking him in has been broken.
Remus takes Harry and Sirius' dog to Hogwarts while Dumbledoor and Sirius fights the Death Eaters off. Lucius Malfoy dies splinching himself. Sirius goes to Hogwarts to get a potion from Snape.
That is all I remember about this story, but I cannot for the life of me remember the title. I have searched high and low amongst my favourite stories, my favourite authors and their favourite stories.
