Hei dreams about many seemingly unattainable and unthinkable things to contractors. Not that contractors can dream- but then again, Hei isn't exactly a contractor either. If he'd bothered to share such thoughts, he'd most likely be looked down upon- such fantasies do not benefit oneself and are illogical- contradictory to the perceived ideal characteristics of all contractors.

Hei dreams of a world, physically impossible to achieve from what the world they currently live in now is- the kind of world Suou lives in. But he thinks, if such a world were possible, Yin will have probably overcome her inability to show emotions; he can imagine her smiling without her fingers having to push up the corners of her lips, the look of amazement on her flawless face. He can imagine her beautiful features contorted into a variety of different expressions contradictory to her current, monotonous one. And he knows she'll show him many different faces- because Yin has a lot to say, despite her being a doll.

In his dream, he'd be working like a normal person- no killing or whatsoever; and he'd return to see his children bounding through the door to greet him. He dreams that his son will have black hair and purple eyes; and that his daughter silver hair and blue eyes. And behind them, his beautiful wife with a smile playing on her lips, kisses him and welcomes him home from a hard day of work. And, even though this thought is indeed pushing it far too much, perhaps his wife's purple eyes are able to see how magnificently beautiful the world is.

Hei thinks of many things to cater to possible situations that might happen in his dream world. For instance, how he'd react to his son falling off his bike, or his daughter's first boyfriend or maybe even a parent-teacher meeting. His dreams pile on, they create a story and history as long as Hei's actual days- fighting and syndicate work when he's awake, being a family man while he's asleep.

Sometimes, he jolts from his dreams, a rude awakening tearing him away from his fantasy. He has all but to gaze upon Yin's sleeping face next to him to calm himself down.

One night she asks him, out of the blue, while they are lying in bed, unable to sleep.

What do you dream of?

Hei very simply tells her. That he dreams of a life he's built with her. She turns to face him, and he doesn't know whether it's real or his eyes are failing him, but he sees a slight smile play on her lips.

Me too.
