Dance Into The Fire

When lone police officer Edward Cullen gets assigned a new partner called Bella Swan they imediatly don't get along. But when you have a case to solve you have to put differences aside, could it result in more than a work partnership? M for adult content.

So I was watching Lethal Weapon last night and I had this idea for a twilight story. I hope you enjoy it.

The sirens rang across the city, all heading towards a large apartment building right in the centre of Seattle. Police were surrounding it and trying to get everyone as far away as possible, from the bullets coming from the snippier on the third floor balcony. No one knew why he was doing it, just that he had to be stopped.

A shiny silver Volvo skidded to a stop at the front. Edward Cullen climbed out of the drivers side in jeans, a white button down shirt and a worn leather jacket.

"Well look who's here." One of the police officers joked when they saw him, but Edward kept professional.

"What have we got here?" He asked.

"Snippier on the third floor." The police officer replied, serious now.

"Yeah I can see that." Edward said impatiently. "Who's he shooting at? Is it random or aimed? Has anyone spoken to him or know why he is doing this?"

The police officer looked thrown for a moment from the amount of question but quickly regained control. "Random and no sir."

"Where's SWAT?"

"On their way sir." the officer said. Edward breathed a long sign, he knew the SWAT team would be at least five more minutes.

With that Edward headed straight for the building. Police officers were yelling all around him to get down because he was know directly in the line of fire, but he just ignored them.

"Hey! Ass-hole!" he yelled up at the balcony. All of a sudden, bullets came towards him, but they all missed, one only by an inch. Edward didn't even flinch. "I'm still here!" he yelled again.

But this time when the man emerged to shoot again, Edward shot first, pulling his gun from the inside of his jacket. His aim was perfect as he fired twenty bullets directly at him as he fell to the floor.

Police started running toward the building.

"You are one crazy guy… but your good." said one of the leading officers to Edward.

Edward simply turned around and got back into his car as the SWAT van pulled up.
