"You want your books?!" Steven Evans slapped Lily when she asked her father if she could get books at Diagon Alley for her new year at Hogwarts. "I'm…I'm sorry." Lily went to turn away, but her father wasn't finished with her. He pulled her hair and threw her to the floor; kicking her.
It had been like this ever since Lily's mother died two years ago from heart problems. Petunia, Lily's older sister, was able to escape and get married to her boyfriend, Verom Dursely. Lily and Daisy, Lily's eight year old sister are stuck with their jobless dad.
"Daddy, stop!" Daisy ran over to her dad and tried to push him off, even though she knew that she was not strong enough to do so. He shoved Daisy into a table and started slamming Lily's head into the ground, Lily letting out a cry everytime.
"Daddy, stop. You'll kill her!" Steven kept on slamming Lily's head into the ground, but something was wrong. No sound was coming out. Steven let go of Lily and stepped back. Daisy shrieked and ran to her sister. Daisy kept calling her sister's name and tried waking her sister while her dad ran out of the room.
"Lily, wake up." Daisy started to cry and she let her head lay on top of Lily's. "Wake up."
