Fenris moved out of Hawke's grasp, the rogue was asleep.

Her hair hung in her face, one arm had been around him and the other under her pillow, her legs were twisted out so they hung off the bed and the blanket hugged her figure while also falling away from her body.

He was unable to sleep, she had forgiven him, yes, but he still felt foolish for avoiding her for those three years. Sure, they spent time together, but only as friends. She had taught him how to read, they had shared bottles of wine and stories of what they knew, played Diamond Back and he even taught her some Tevinter.

It was...strange to be in her estate, sleeping in the same room and the same bed as her.

There were the sound of footsteps and the mabari padded in, making it's way over to the bed before jumping up and nuzzling Hawke's bent knee.

The woman let out a few soft moans but did not stir and Fenris got up, heading out of the room and down the stairs. The library door was open and flames still flickered in the fireplace.

He reached for a book off of the shelf and went to take a seat in front of the lit fire. Fenris took the book in hand and opened it, eyes scanning the words.

There were soft footsteps and the elf felt arms close around him and fabric pressed up against his bare back.

He closed the book and turned to her when she let go of him. Her green eyes glinted from the flames and she smiled, tightening her grip on the sheet around her, hugging her hourglass-like figure.

"I thought you were asleep, Kat." he commented. She shrugged.

"Cerberus woke me up." she explained. "Are you alright?"

"Fine," he told her. "I just tried not to awaken you since you need rest."

"My wound isn't all that bad. And I'd gladly deal with stab wounds and arrows in my flesh then wake up to you not being there." she paused. "I just thought maybe it was all a dream, something I wanted so badly it was made a dream."

"I'm not going anywhere." he assured her.

"Damn straight. After so many years, I'm not losing you, and you're not losing me." she replied, getting to her feet and letting go of the sheet with one hand to extend it and help him up. He took her hand and stood.

Fenris sighed, she never did change. Always the same charming, kind, aggressive and sarcastic Kathrine Hawke he knew and loved.

He put a hand under her chin and lifted her face to his, her eyes even brighter then before, aflame with passion. He laid his lips on her, she gladly parted her lips, their tongues touching.

Moments passed and they both pulled away, needing to take a breath.

"Let's go back to my room, I'd rather not be found making out in the library at this hour." she whispered, her skin a little flushed. She searched for the right words to say next, thinking of who was staying in her estate. Her mother was gone, but that still left Bodanh, Sandal and Orana.

"It'd just be strange." she finally said.

"Alright," Fenris agreed. Kathrine smiled and held the sheet to her chest with one hand and tangled her other with one of his hands. The two headed for the door, up the stairs and into Hawke's room.

Cerberus padded out and the door shut, a silent slam.
