24 hours after the end of Breaking Dawn

I made sure that Nessie was comfortably on her crib and then went back with Edward to our room.

"Bella, you still haven't explained to me what you were planning behind my back. Did it have anything to do with Nessie?

"Yeah well Alice left me this mysterious message before she left. She left me the name of a guy from whom I got fake passports for Nessie and Jake so they could get away in case something happened to us"

"Alice. I'll have to thank her for that. What do you think I should give her?"

"I don't know, but now that I think of it" I said turning towards my shelf "She ripped one my favorite books, I need to get a new one"

"Oh, so what you are trying to tell me is that Isabella Marie Swan, the girl who detested gifts wants a present after all?" Edward said smiling my favorite smile.

"No! That's not what I meant. I could get the book myself. I was just letting you know that I am going to go get it tomorrow. By myself"

"But what if I get the book first?"

"Okay. I won't object, then. You already gave me that expensive car; I don't see why we should argue over a book. And besides, I notice how you love giving me presents. I may as well let you have fun"

"finally"

"But I'm warning you Edward, don't overdo it or I'll have to ban presents again"

"Sounds fine to me" then he kissed me. "You know, I think that after all this Volturi issue, I want to go on vacation. Where would you like to go?"

"Edward" I protested.

"Bella you just said... and besides I think I deserve a present too, just because. And I want to travel"

"Fine. Where are we going?"

"I asked you first. I want to go wherever you want to go"

I didn't know what to say. I've only been to Arizona, Florida, and Italy and I did not want to go back to any of those places except Florida, but that was just because my mom was there but I couldn't see her just yet; I would not know how to explain my change in appearance. But then it occurred to me, if I could not see my mom at least Edward should see his parents' graves. Of course if he wanted.

"Edward, can we go to Chicago?"
